Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to Britain hoping to build a new chapter for their family, but according to a new report, the reality has been far more demanding than either of them may have expected, with Harry’s increasingly packed schedule reportedly leaving Meghan frustrated over something they had specifically promised each other before making the move.

The couple were said to have agreed that they would make time for at least one date night every week, a simple arrangement designed to make sure that their relationship did not disappear underneath the enormous pressure of relocating their family, settling Archie and Lilibet into a new life and dealing with everything that has come with returning to Britain.

But that plan apparently has not gone according to schedule.

Meghan Was Supposed To Have Time With Harry

According to a source quoted by Star magazine, Meghan knew the move would be demanding and was prepared to “buckle down” and deal with everything that needed to be done, but she also expected that there would be protected time for her and Harry to concentrate on their relationship.

The source said there was “supposed to be some time set aside in the schedule for her and Harry to focus on their relationship,” particularly because the couple understood how stressful their return to the UK could become.

The insider stated that before leaving the United States, the couple reportedly agreed that “they would have at least one date a week,” with the source describing the arrangement as a safeguard against allowing the pressures of their new life to create distance between them.

That safeguard, however, is reportedly being tested almost immediately.

Harry Has One Thing After Another

The biggest problem, according to the report, is Harry’s schedule.

Since returning to Britain, the Duke of Sussex has had a string of engagements and responsibilities, while his trip to New York for the Clinton Global Initiative added yet another international commitment to an already crowded calendar. He has also attended the Invictus Spirit Awards and the WellChild Awards during a period when the couple are supposedly trying to establish a routine for their family.

The source put Meghan’s frustration rather bluntly: “But much to Meghan’s frustration, it has not been happening, not at all. Harry has had one thing after another added to his plate, and everything’s had to get pushed around.”

And that may be the part that is bothering Meghan most.

It is one thing to understand that Harry has obligations. It is another to watch the one promise they made to protect their relationship repeatedly get pushed aside.

Meghan Is Reportedly Feeling The Pressure

The source claimed that the situation has placed Meghan in the uncomfortable position of having to ask Harry to make their relationship a priority, something that could hardly feel romantic.

“It would be one thing if there was an end in sight, but there’s more stuff popping up all the time that he needs to deal with,” the source said.

That is a particularly revealing line because the Sussexes did not return to Britain for a quiet, ordinary family life. Their move has placed them under intense public attention while Harry has found himself pulled into engagements, family questions, security issues and the complicated business of rebuilding a life in the country he once left.

For Meghan, that may mean watching the plan they made before the move slowly disappear beneath one obligation after another.

And if their weekly date night was supposed to keep them connected through the chaos, the fact that it reportedly is not happening at all could become one of the most unexpected pressures of their new life in Britain.
