A family of five including John Sisk and his wife, Mary Sisk, have been killed in Elkmont, Alabama by their 14-year-old son whose name has not been revealed due to the fact that he is being charged as a juvenile.

According to local authorities, the teen is the son of John Sisk and stepson of Mary Sisk. The couple was gunned down with their three children — a baby girl, six months old, her sister, 5, and a brother, 6.

John Sisk is the father of a 14-year-old son named Mason Sisk who was not killed in the horrific incident.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the killings took place on Monday night in the northern part of the state.

Three members of the Sisk family died in the home, and the other two passed away after arriving at a nearby hospital.

The sheriff’s office explained that the teenager, who called 911 to report the crime, initially claimed he heard gunshots, but his explanation did not match up, and he later confessed to being the mass murderer.

The teen eventually showed the police where he dumped the gun. The weapon was illegally in the home. The motives for the brutal killings are not yet known.

However, a relative told local media that the boy had started “acting out” recently after finding out that Mary was not his biological mother.

In a series of tweets, the Sheriff’s Department gave more details about the massacre: “Five people have been shot at a residence in the [25000 block of Ridge Rd.] in Elkmont. Three confirmed dead at the scene; two were airlifted in critical condition.”

An update about the high-profile gun crime read: “The two subjects in critical condition have died. The 14-year old caller was interviewed and confessed to shooting all five members of his family in the residence. He is currently assisting investigators in locating the weapon, a 9mm handgun that he said he tossed nearby. Investigators have recovered the handgun from the side of the road nearby where it had been tossed.”

Mary Sisk was an educator who worked with children with special needs. As for John Sisk, he was known to authorities for being linked to an April 2019 armed robbery. He was supposed to go to court in the upcoming months.

He was a “PDI technician” (pre delivery inspector) for car dealership and was locally known as “Dub Diesel” after earning an associate’s degree in diesel mechanics technology. He was also a hairstylist.

Many people have taken to social media to remember John Sisk, including his friend, Ron Henson, who said he was a fun-loving man who recently turned to God and loved riding motorcycles.

The friend revealed: “One of the last texts I got from John Sisk, the new man formerly known as Dub Diesel…Father, I choose to believe that I am not a victim, but that I can be victorious in Christ Jesus. I put my life into your hands. Help me to catch the little foxes that spoil the vine. Restore me from all the effects of emotional trauma and abuse. I choose to believe that all things are possible. Now turn my sorrows into places where your abounding grace has the final say. For the glory of God and in Jesus’ name, amen!”

After a few run-ins with the law, it seems the dad was working on changing his old ways.
