Horror Actress Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed Charged With Murder Days After Completing Film

Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed Shane Moore Killing

In an ironic real-life plot twist, horror actress Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed is reportedly facing murder charges — and not fictional ones. The former reporter, who is known as Tucker Reed, used the pseudonym, Wyn Reed, and had the lead role in From the Dark.

The actress was charged not long after filming on her most recent movie concluded, and the circumstances around her alleged crime are still quite mysterious.

The charges date from a few years ago, but back then, she was initially charged with manslaughter and not murder for the shooting of her uncle Shane Moore in Jackson County, Oregon.

This was back in 2016, and the filmmakers of From the Dark claimed that they were completely unaware of what she was going through when they hired her.

Recently, however, investigators have reportedly obtained new evidence that has painted the situation in a more damning light for her, and the charges she is facing have now been upgraded to murder.

Moore-Reed was allegedly seen in a cellphone video shooting her uncle. She initially claimed it was self-defense. Her mother, Kelly Moore, said the uncle had assaulted the actress in 2015 and he was under a court order to stay away.

Jackson County Circuit Judge Lisa Greif said during a bail hearing in January: “It was almost like she was angry that he wasn’t dead. To me, that kind of nailed down the evidence for me.”

This reportedly happened just a day after concluding the work on the film, which was probably a lucky break for the producers who did not have to have their project interrupted.

It remains to be seen what will happen to Tucker at this point, although things are not looking very good for her.

If she is found guilty, she might have to spend a very long time behind bars, judging by the nature of her situation.

On the other hand, some horror fans have speculated that this case could be a very lucky development for the producers of the film she played in, as it could draw a lot of attention to it from enthusiasts in the genre.

After all, a horror film starring an actual murderer is a strong angle.

However, Siskiyou Productions said in a statement, they do not yet see a positive outcome in this scenario and added: “We have some exciting news about From the Dark coming your way this Halloween! However, before then, we need to clear the air about some rumors that have been going around. Our lead actress is currently facing a legal battle that we were not made aware of until after filming had wrapped. Since then, we have been struggling with how to approach this unfortunate situation. Given the nature of this predicament, we hope that it is understandable that we have taken some time to find the best way to address it. We can not answer any questions pertaining to her case, for we are not privy to any information that has not already been made public. We thank you for your patience and hope you enjoy all of the hard work we have done.

Thank you from the Siskiyou Team.”

As if life was imitating art — there is a scene in the film where she shoots someone, and it is very similar to the way she killed her uncle.
