The unexpected death of The Cars’ frontman, Ric Ocasek, on September 15, brought not only devastation for his spouse, Paulina Porizkova, but also a feeling of betrayal, as it was reported that the supermodel was left out from his will.

According to the distraught widow, the fact that her husband did not include her in his will made the grieving process tricky because she could not be just sad for him being gone without feeling hurt by his disloyalty.

She told CBS Sunday Morning: “It made the grieving process really, really tricky. I would love to be able to be sad and miss him and not also feel this incredible hurt and betrayal.”

Reportedly, the late musician’s will that dates back from August stated that even if he should die before the ongoing divorce was finalized, his wife was not entitled to anything, because she allegedly abandoned him.

However, the 54-year-old model claimed that even though she and her husband had brought the news about their separation in 2018, at the time of his death, they were still living together, and she was the first one to find his body.

When Ocasek suddenly passed away in September, Porizkova took to Instagram to officially announce his untimely demise.

In her message, the bombshell explained at the time of his death, he was home with their two sons, Jonathan and Oliver, and she was taking care of him due to his weak health after a recent surgery.

After being cut off from her husband’s last wish, Porizkova took matters into her own hands and is now determined to at least receive what she is owed as his widow, which according to the law in New York, amounts to one-third of Ocasek’s properties.

After the interview aired, Porizkova shared a poem on social media about the dissolution of a marriage.

Her caption read: “This poem makes me cry. It so perfectly describes the dissolution of my marriage. I am sure I’m not the only one to feel this way- and I’m also sure the woman silvering in the mirror can do better. #betweenJ.LoandBettyWhite.”

A lot of women shared the same feelings. One of them wrote: “I so feel this, I live with my husband but I feel so alone after 35 years, I feel like if I don’t do something soon my life will be over soon, I’m so frightened to try I’m 56 where do I start ?”

However, some commenters defended the late Rock and Roll Hall of Famer: “Ric was 75 years old I’m sure summoning the energy to go outside was a lot much less devote yourself to satisfying a 54-year-old woman! I’m sure he did the best he could at 75 shit doesn’t work like a 59-year-old.”

Adam and Christopher, two of Ocasek’s six sons did not appear on the will and might fight the issue in court.
