Even though Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, have been pretty open about their firstborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, and occasionally let her enjoy the perks of fame; so far, the celebrity power couple has been very secretive about their younger children, 2-year-old twins Sir Carter and Rumi Carter.
However, a video clip of Rumi recently started circulating on social media, and the footage of the little girl quickly became viral, as fans of the famous musicians could not stop comparing Rumi to her older sister, Blue Ivy.
One follower commented that the infant looked exactly like Blue Ivy when she was younger, while another asked, “Is that Rumi or blue” and stated that the two siblings looked like twins.
The clip was reportedly recorded by Beyoncé’s nephew and son of her sister Solange Knowles, Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr. Still, after the video became viral, he denied ever sharing it and remarked it was distributed without his knowledge.
Besides, the 15-year-old nephew of Beyoncé took to Instagram Stories to ask, “Please, someone explains how someone got the video of my cousin because I’ve never posted that video ever” and concluded with a plea for the footage to be taken down.
However, most of Julez’s followers reacted to his message with criticism, and the teenager was under backlash for taking the matter too seriously.
One user of the popular social media wrote, “Lmao ppl actin like he posted baby Jesus bye,” and a second follower stated it was just a regular baby after all.
This person defended Beyoncé’s privacy by writing: “Girl, it doesn’t matter that’s HER child that she carried and gave birth to. If she didn’t give her nephew permission to post it, what makes you think she wants it all over the Internet? That’s like somebody posting unseen photos or videos of your kids, and you never have seen or posted the video yourself. Yall say anything.”
Another backer of Jay-Z’s wife explained why she would not be happy about the video leaking: “Some of you sound so stupid, “but why it’s an innocent video,” “we already know what she looks like.” If a celebrity chooses not to post videos and pics of their kids and someone hacks an iCloud, they have EVERY reason to be upset. Acting brand new because bey keeps all of you bothered.”
Many agree that Queen Bey has a right to protect her family’s privacy.
