Kellyanne Conway sent shockwaves to the political world this week when she announced that she is stepping down as President Donald Trump‘s senior counselor.
In a statement, the former pollster and Trump’s campaign manager said she is leaving her high-profile post to focus on her family.
Conway, who is one of the longest-serving advisers to President Trump, explained that she would exit the White House at the end of the month.
Conway, who is a fierce defender of Trump and his administration, said this in a statement: “Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids ‘doing school from home’ requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times.”
The political consultant made the shocking announcement after her daughter, Claudia Conway, took to Twitter and TikTok and dropped a few disturbing bombshells about her family life.
The teenager claimed that she has suffered years of abuse and has been through traumatic experiences.
The Trump-hating influencer wrote: “Y’all love to twist everything. I’m not getting emancipated because of my mom’s job.. it is because of years of childhood trauma and abuse.”
Conway’s daughter also had this to say: “My mother’s job ruined my life, to begin with.”
@datjerseygirl the power i hold – i— they think this is gonna stop me from getting emancipated? NANSHAJAB BYE
The young activist then shared this comment with her thousands of followers: “Heartbreaking that she continues to go down that path after years of watching her children suffer. Selfish. It’s all about money and fame, ladies and gentlemen.”
George Conway is following in his wife’s footsteps and has decided to step back from The Lincoln Project.
The left-leaning 15-year-old returned to social media, where she said that she was surprised to learn about her parents’ decision on Twitter.
She explained: “They didn’t even talk about it with any of us …just tweeted about it as if this is going to change anything and make me not emancipate myself.”
@datjerseygirl YEAH SORRY I HAD TO COME BACK TO POST THIS BUT
Claudia has a large group of supporters on Instagram who applaud her decision to share her story and call out her mother for backing Trump.
A fan of the teen stated: “Claudia is breaking generational curses too. She could have very easily been the monsters her parents are. I wish her nothing but success and vocal anti-racism.”
This social media user praised Claudia: “Judging by her daughter’s public statements I actually believe spending more time with her family is a major reason for her departure. One of the few truths she’s told since 2016.”
Another positive comment read: “The generational disconnect is terrifying. Imagine having not one but two abusive parents that share totally different political viewpoints and have a seat in politics.”
The teenager has remained silent for the past 24 hours.
