Derek Hough marries Hayley Erbert, and their fans are rejoicing. Hough and Erbert are one of the most popular couples in the dancing world.
The wedding ceremony took place in front of 106 guests in Monterey County, California on Saturday.
Erbert, who is 28 years old, told PEOPLE: “We’re in a redwood forest, but we got married right in front of this mother tree that’s surrounded by all these smaller trees. They drop all the seeds, and it plants kind of like an army of children to protect the mother. The symbolism of it was beautiful. We’re here, planting our seeds to grow our family.”
The wedding extravaganza had a unique feel to it. The whole thing started on Thursday at the Carmel estate. Hough, 38, is ecstatic.
The Dancing with the Stars professional: explained: “It’s one of the most breathtaking places. It’s like a fairytale.”
The two dancers met in 2014 after Erbert joined the MOVE Live Tour with Julianne Hough. The relationship was kept on the low for a while. The talented performers eventually went public with the romance in 207.
Five years of official dating were followed by an engagement in 2022. At the time, Hough used the following caption to express his feelings. He wrote: “It’s only the beginning…the beginning of forever.”
After Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert’s wedding pictures landed on social media, supporters were quick to wish the couple well.

Julianne Hough headed to the Instagram comments to leave a sweet message for the newlyweds, especially for her new sister-in-law. It read: “This picture sums you two up! Locked in together, laughing till your belly hurts, and celebrating the love you share so purely! It has been an absolute honor to witness your growing love over the years and be there watching you root your relationship like the beautiful redwoods surrounding you. Declaring your commitment to each other in front of all your people. I still have chills!
I love you two so much ❤️.”
The presence of the Dancing with the Stars family could really be felt at the ceremony with pro Mark Ballas serving as Hough’s best man.
Other celebrity guests included actresses Freida Pinto and Nina Dobrev.
