It was an interesting summer for Prince William‘s wife, as sources announced a dramatic change in her behavior and feelings towards Meghan Markle.
For the past three years, reports claimed that Kate Middleton had taken the role left empty by the late Prince Philip, the great peacemaker.
All royal sources and insiders claimed that the future Queen of England was doing her best to get Prince William and Prince Harry to reconcile.
There were stories claiming that Middleton was secretly talking to the American royals, hoping to find a peace agreement.
However, a major shift took place a few months ago. The reports that came out made it clear that Middleton was done playing nice with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Royal insiders were explicit that she was done with the Montecito couple. It was revealed that Middleton was not interested in meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle because she was not able to forgive them for the ugly accusations they levied against her and her family.
Surprise, surprise, sources close to Meghan Markle have revealed that she feels the same way about Middleton. Markle has no plan or intention to ever meet with Middleton again because she has not been able to forgive her.
A source close to the former actress spoke to Closer Magazine and explained that she has shut the door on Middleton. According to the person in the know, Meghan Markle understands that it “is likely too late.”
The insider claimed that Markle had decided “not to forgive or make peace with Kate.” The source said Meghan Markle became “particularly upset when tension ignited between her and Kate.”
Markle is said to be “disappointed” because she once believed there was “so much potential” for friendship with Middleton.
The source explained: “She said she’s now just going to dust herself off, have closure, and move forward, without ever having or expecting a reconciliation.”
They went on to say: “Meghan will not go back to them now to forgive and make peace with Kate, or any of the other royals, and, while Harry understands how she feels, it’s heartbreaking for him that he has to make these trips alone.”
In the upcoming days, Markle is supposed to travel to Europe, but she will not meet with any member of the Royal Family, and it seems that she is okay with that.
A person with ties to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle told The Telegraph that they have decided to hit reset on their lives and are no longer attached to the past.
The insider stated: “They are done with their former lives. They’re not talking about family.”
Prince Harry will be in Germany for the Invictus Games, and he does not expect Prince William, Kate Middleton, or King Charles III to show any kind of support for the event.
The source claimed: “There’s no expectation that the family’s going to show up or acknowledge it or that anybody wants to see him. It’s over.”
It seems peace is getting further for the two sides.
