It seems that David Beckham has opened a Pandora’s box filled with problems by making the decision to publicly speak about his alleged affair with his former assistant, Rebecca Loos.
The soccer star and his wife, Victoria Beckham, recently appeared in the Netflix series Beckham, where they left no stone unturned.
The power couple shocked millions of viewers by discussing the cheating scandal from decades ago. At the center of the drama was Rebecca Loos, who in 2004, happily told the world about her and David Beckham’s steamy and torrid affair.
This week, Rebecca Loos has decided to share her side of the story after feeling insulted by what David Beckham revealed on the streaming giant.
Loos sat down for an interview with the Daily Mail that was published Saturday. The medical assistant slammed the businessman by saying that he was portraying himself as a victim to protect his image as the perfect family man.
Loos, who is married to Norwegian doctor Sven Christjar Skaiaa, claimed: “I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim, and he’s making me look like a liar like I’ve made up these stories. It’s all ‘poor me.’ He needs to take responsibility.”
Loos went on to reveal that Beckham, who was married, was the one calling the shots, deciding when and where to meet.
She shared: “You have got to remember that he is a married man. What if he is at lunch with Victoria? You have to wait for him to come to you.”
She once again confirmed that she had an affair with David Beckham when he was transferred to Real Madrid and his wife, Victoria Beckham, stayed in London with their children.
She stated: “Yes, the stories were horrible, but they’re true. He talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life and shutting it down.”
Loos, who now lives in Norway with her doctor husband and their two sons, said that she decided to set the record straight because she wants her family to know the truth.
She pointed out: “And I also have a family, and I also have children, and they also have Google, and they can also watch documentaries. And I want them to know that their mother was brave enough to stand up against them and to stand up for the truth.”
She once again apologized for her actions by saying: “I was very sorry for what I had done and the way I handled it, but life’s biggest mistakes are the best lessons learned. Things happen for a reason. And now I have a wonderful life with my incredible husband and children.”
Some observers say the Beckhams might have revived the old story for good.
