The rumors about Taylor Swift‘s private love life are being addressed by none other than her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Appearing on the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce decided to speak about all that has happened in the past few days in his whirlwind romance with the pop diva.
The NFL star talked about his shock when Taylor Swift changed the lyrics of her hit song “Karma.”
He revealed why he had to apologize to Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, and shared his thoughts on seeing his lady love perform live.
He also hinted that it was time for his older brother to meet his extremely famous girlfriend. Travis Kelce said he was delighted to fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop.
Jason Kelce asked his younger brother how he felt when Taylor Swift modified the lyrics of “Karma” to sing the following line about her man being a player for the Kansas City Chiefs: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.”
The father of two asked: “How does it feel to officially be The Guy on the Chiefs?” Taylor Swift’s boyfriend responded: “Ha! You mean karma? I had no clue. I mean, I might have had a little bit of a clue. Definitely, when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me. I was like ‘Oh…she just said that, alright.”
Jason Kelce pointed out: “You were so shocked you left Scott [Swift] hanging…Scott’s over here looking for a high five.”
Travis Kelce was quick to apologize to his future father-in-law for not seeing the high five. He said: “Mr. Swift, I apologize big guy. I never miss a high five too. Big high the guy. It’s the most electric thing you can do at an event.”
Jason Kelce went on to reveal that Papa Swift was wearing a Chiefs lanyard, and Travis Kelce explained how he was able to convince him to join his team over dinner and added: “Got him over to the good side, baby. One by one, getting all the good ones to come over. I might have persuaded him at dinner the night before when I met him. Maybe, who knows? He’s a huge football guy!”
Jason Kelce, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, tried to get Papa Swift on his team by saying: “You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott? Ridiculous.”
The 34-year-old went on to reveal a few secrets about Taylor Swift’s father. He said: “He played college ball. Position. I think he was a linebacker. The linebacker turns center, ironically enough.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s parents have picked a date when they will meet for the very first time.
On Monday night, the Swifts and Kelces will be together when the two brothers go head to head.
According to ET: “Swift and Kelce’s respective parents — Donna and Ed Kelce, and Scott and Andrea Swift — are both expected to attend the Chiefs’ game against the Eagles at Arrowhead on the next installment of Monday Night Football.”
