Taylor Swift will be writing a new song called “Slow Down” for boyfriend Travis Kelce, according to close sources.
This week, rumors ran wild, claiming that marriage bells would be ringing soon for the pop star and her NFL boyfriend. It seems that Kelce, who has been dating Swift for a few months, has given Swift a ring, but not the ring her fans had been hoping for.
People close to the artist spoke to The Messenger to say that Swift is in a loving relationship with the athlete, but they are not in a rush to walk down the aisle.
The pair plans to spend more time with each other over the holidays. The power couple will be holed up in Kelce’s mansion in Kansas for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
However, he has no plans to propose during the year-end holidays. A person in the know stated: “There are no plans for an engagement anytime soon. There is no engagement at this time.”
It seems that Kelce did give Swift a special ring for her birthday, though. Pictures have emerged that have fans convinced that Kelce gifted Swift a massive, oversized white opal stone in the center with smaller blue gemstones for her birthday.
Swift was happy to flaunt the ring to all her A-list celebrity friends at her New York birthday bash. The large ring includes opal, which is Kelce’s birthstone, and blue topaz, which is Swift’s birthstone.
One expert said he believes the ring is worth approximately USD 175,000. Mike Fried, of The Diamond Pro, told Page Six: “The center stone on Taylor’s ring is massive and looks to be 15 carats. A high-quality opal of that size is incredibly rare, but not nearly as expensive as a diamond would be. I’d estimate it at around $175,000, if not more.”
Hannah Ann Sluss, who recently got engaged to NFL star Jake Funk, spoke to Page Six about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce getting engaged during the off-season for the following reasons: “Well, usually, engagements, from what Jake’s told me, happen in the offseason. Because last season I was like, ‘I want to get engaged.’ He was like, ‘Well, typically guys get engaged in the offseason.”
She added: “It’s fun because our friends in the offseason are like, ‘Who’s getting engaged? Who’s getting married? Really, with football season, you have to plan it around football.”
Taylor Swift has some waiting to do before her beau gets down on one knee.
