Prince William, with his wife, Kate Middleton, by his side, is telling Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that anything they can do, he can do better and on a bigger scale because he is the future King and has more resources and manpower.
For the past few years, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the rest of the Royal Family appear to have given up on all things military.
Prince Harry, who served multiple tours in Afghanistan and is highly decorated for his actions as a soldier, owned that territory despite being stripped of his honors and is rarely authorized to wear his uniform by the monarchy and King Charles III.
Prince Harry and Markle have fully embraced military families by attending events and galas in their honor. They have put the spotlight on wounded and disabled soldiers with the successful Invictus Games that have taken place in the Netherlands, Germany, and London.
Prince Harry also produced and appeared in a documentary that focused on brave and injured military personnel.
Meanwhile, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince William had appeared to put their focus on everything else except the British military.
Other than Kate Middleton, who appeared in a couple of photo ops after being named honorary Colonel-in-Chief of the 1st the Queen’s Dragoon Guards (QDG) Regiment by King Charles over the summer, the Royal Family has ignored the soldiers and army personnel keeping the country safe and helping other nations fight wars abroad.
Well, Prince William has decided to do something about it. It has been confirmed that Prince William and Middleton have opted that they will give their undivided attention to the military this year.
Sources have revealed to The Mirror that the power couple will celebrate and honor military personnel in England and will travel abroad to recognize them, their service, and their sacrifices.
The media outlet notes: “The Prince and Princess of Wales will kick off their year with a “renewed focus” on the military. William and Kate are set to make their first tour in 2024 to a foreign country where British armed service personnel are stationed. Royal sources confirmed the couple are in advanced discussions to travel outside the UK to thank British troops on behalf of the nation.”
The publication has declined to reveal the secret location that Prince William and Middleton will be visiting for security reasons,” but the trip is set to take place next month.”
According to the royal source, the first secret trip will not be Ukraine-related, but the country’s battle against Russia “will continue to be a pillar of their work for the next 12 months.”
A royal source revealed to The Mirror: “It’s no secret about the Prince and Princess’ affection for the military, but 2024 is about celebrating the efforts of those personnel abroad, often away from their family and friends, fighting in conflicts that are a long way from home. This is about a renewed focus to recognize their dedication, and the royals feel very strongly about their role in representing the armed forces.”
The Prince of Wales is going for the jugular.
So it not an interest in the Military but in one upping Harry who was a real servicemann.
