It might have taken some time, but Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have finally decided to fight back against the racist debacle that erupted the day Meghan Markle entered the Royal Family.
Moments after Prince Harry officialized his romance with former actress Meghan Markle, she became one of the most fascinating women in the world.
The press dug up her past life, and the paparazzi were determined to catch a glimpse of her at any cost. She was also the main target of online trolls who made vile comments about her appearance, her age, her race, her family, and her career.
Via Kensington Palace, Prince Harry issued a lengthy statement defending his then-girlfriend and slammed the racist and sexist attacks.
The statement read in part: “His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public – the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.”
However, in the past years, because of Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Prince William, Kate Middleton, King Charles III, and the monarchy have become a giant racist group.
Prince Harry and Markle claimed that royals talked about Prince Archie‘s skin tone before he was born.
The pair appeared in a Netflix series where the institution and England were reminded of the roles they played in slavery and the pillage of many African and Caribbean countries.
It peaked when a book named Kate Middleton and King Charles III as the two racist royals who spoke about Archie. This week, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s office at Kensington Palace made an unexpected move.
They removed a statement that was featured on the website for over seven years. Royals experts believe that Middleton and Prince William no longer owe Markle and Prince Harry the grace and elegance of being an ally in their painful experiences with the media.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, tainted by the bombshell revelations, have decided to let Prince Harry and Markle wallow in their own drama.
Royal author Tom Quinn told The Mirror had this to say about the situation: “The statement was an attack on the press for their portrayal of his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle, which Harry deemed deeply unfair. If Harry wrote the statement, it was heavily influenced by Meghan.”
He explained that it was a way to erase Prince Harry and Markle from the royals’ history books.
He revealed: “Removing Prince Harry’s 2016 statement about Meghan from the Royal website reveals much about how the senior royals are determined to forget the past and Prince Harry’s role in it.”
Quinn claimed the removal of the statement was a slap to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He added: “For Harry removing the statement will be a real and very upsetting shock – he will see this as the Royal Family shutting him down, erasing an important part of the anti-media crusade Harry has waged for so long.”
Some observers say the Waleses are turning the page for good.
It doesn’t go far enough they need to remove there titles so that she can no longer use a royal title to make money we all know that she won’t use princess Henry that would be below her own self high position that she thinks she has anyway it shouldn’t bother her because she hates everything royal (unless it makes her money)
