Michelle Obama has had a busy summer and is preparing for an even more eventful fall and winter. Some of Obama’s plans might rattle Melania Trump.
The former model and wife of presidential candidate Donald Trump was thrilled to announce that her first memoir, Melania, will be released on October 2nd.
The mother of one has been making some unexpected moves to promote the highly anticipated project. For the first time, Melania Trump appeared in a video to talk about Donald Trump’s assassination attempt.
Melania Trump was bold and gutsy by calling out the police officers who did not interrogate the shooter when he climbed the rooftop before the presidential candidate delivered his speech.
Mrs. Trump, who rarely talks, has also appeared in a video where she slammed those trying to silence her and her spouse.
In that video, Melania Trump conveniently revealed that she would share the truth in her book, which is available for $40 or $75 for a signed copy and $150 for a special edition.
However, Michelle Obama is telling Melania Trump to hold her horses slightly because she also has a book coming out soon.
In a way, Michelle Obama will be coming for her word rival this winter. Barack Obama‘s wife will publish the follow-up to her New York Times bestsellers, The Light We Carry and Becoming, which sold over 17 million copies.
Mrs. Obama’s latest literary work is Overcoming: A Workbook, which is filled with tools and secrets for “unlocking your power, showing up in your relationships, and sharing your whole self with others.”
The interactive book comes with “habit-tracking tools, journal prompts, creative activities,” and more.
Michelle Obama said about the project: “I’ve always found that breaking down a gigantic goal or an intimidating challenge into its component parts can be useful.”
Mrs. Obama, who has managed to have successful careers as a lawyer, politician, speaker, and author while struggling with debilitating depression and anxiety, went on to explain: “This way, you are less likely to get overwhelmed or exhausted or crash into feelings of futility. Learning to take smaller steps helps us understand what’s actually within our control so that we can prioritize our efforts, sustain our energy, and create new possibilities for ourselves and for those around us.”
Thus far, Melania Trump is enjoying some huge pre-order numbers for her book, but many believe Michelle Obama will obliterate them in December.
Much like that infamous speech that Melania Trump borrowed from Michelle Obama, the two releases will get a lot attention.
