Melania Trump has taken one direction on an important matter, while her husband has chosen the opposite.
California is facing a devastating crisis due to several significant fires inconsolably burning throughout the state.
The historical Eaton and Palisades fires have been burning for five consecutive days.
The fires have led to the tragic loss of 11 lives, the destruction of more than 10,000 homes and buildings, and the forced evacuation of 153,000 people.
Los Angeles authorities have declared a health emergency due to poor air quality, as fire ash and wildfire smoke blanket the county.
During an appearance on Fox News, incoming first lady Melania Trump taught her husband a lesson on class and dignity.
The former glamour model expressed sympathy and support for the victims of the California wildfires.
Melania Trump also hoped President Joe Biden‘s administration would assist those affected by the disaster.
The businesswoman stated: “It’s devastating. I’m thinking about those people, and I pray for them. I just hope that everybody evacuated and that they are safe, and I hope that the government and FEMA are there to help them.”
While Melania Trump has taken a compassionate stance on this heartbreaking issue, her husband has chosen a more confrontational approach, making wild accusations and unfounded revelations.
Earlier this week, President-elect Donald Trump brutally jumped on Truth Social to blame California’s govermor, Gavin Newsom, for the seven infernos ravaging through Southern California.
Trump slammed Newsom for using California’s water to save an extinct tiny fish species instead of sending it to the area prone to major and disastrous fires.
Trump raged against the Democratic leader by saying: “Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him. This declaration would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way. He wanted to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt by giving it less water (it didn’t work!), but he didn’t care about the people of California.”
He added: “Now, the ultimate price is being paid. I will demand that this incompetent Governor allow beautiful, clean, fresh water to FLOW INTO CALIFORNIA! He is to blame for this. On top of it all, there is no water for fire hydrants and no firefighting planes. A true disaster!”
The governor’s spokesperson responded by saying: “There is no such document as the water restoration declaration – that is pure fiction. The Governor is focused on protecting people, not playing politics, and ensuring firefighters have all the necessary resources.”
In a letter, the governor asked Trump to show unity and to visit California and meet with the evacuees and firefighters.
He wrote: “In this spirit of this great country, we must not politicize human tragedy or spread disinformation from the sidelines. Hundreds of thousands of Americans–displaced from their homes and fearful for the future–deserve to see all of us working in their best interests to ensure a fast recovery and rebuild.”
