Artist John Mayer has finally found “Love In This Time,” and many believe this new romance with influencer Kat Stickler could last, with some fans even hopeful he might eventually get married. There is an unexpected reason why his fanbase is feeling optimistic.
Multiple media outlets confirm Mayer, 47, is dating the social media personality. A source told Us Weekly that Mayer was deeply interested in Stickler and persistent in pursuing her, much like reports of Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry‘s courtship, until Stickler accepted a date.
Mayer reached out several times before she agreed to meet him. A source told Us Weekly:“John sought the 30-year-old TikToker out and pursued her. Kat just broke up with someone she had been dating for a few months and thought it would be fun to date again, and was interested in John. He has been actively pursuing her, inviting her places and texting her often,. She is interested and seeing where it goes.”
A Budding New Romance
According to the source, the romance is new; they have only been on maybe three or four dates, and so far, they are having lots of fun.
They see each other occasionally — he spends time by her and vice versa. They also spend a significant amount of time texting and talking via FaceTime, and they are eager to see where things go. The person insisted that, for now, they are just having a lot of fun.
The artist and social media personality first sparked dating rumors on October 12th after pictures of them getting very cozy at New York City’s Flyfish Club restaurant surfaced.
They were seen enjoying a meal, chatting, and sharing hugs and kisses. A witness who was at the restaurant told the website Deuxmoi that they simply could not keep their hands off each other.
Stickler’s Recent Relationship History
The pair’s sighting at the restaurant came a few months after Stickler announced her split from Bachelor Nation‘s Jason Tartick. She had started seeing a mysterious man, but it seems that clearly did not work out. Stickler was also previously married to Mike Stickler, and they share a daughter.
Tartick said during an episode of his Trading Secrets podcast: “Then, what I was hearing, these things I’m hearing publicly about speculation of what happened. I’m just sitting in my house, like, pulling my hair out. Like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me.’ That was, like, a really tough month. A really, really, really hard month.”
Stickler posted an emotional statement on Instagram saying that their relationship was “not love wasted.”
Tartick eventually hit back saying that the split was brutal and added: “I am sad to share that Kat and I are no longer together. It’s fair to say that I love hard with all my heart and fall fast. Sometimes in life that works out and other times, it doesn’t. This time it didn’t.”
He continued: “Kat has brought me so much happiness and light, she brought out parts of me I never knew existed. I will forever be grateful for her and, of course, [her daughter] sweet MK. This chapter closes amicably, and another opens.”
John Mayer’s Search For Love
John Mayer has dated Hollywood names like Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Jessica Simpson, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Many thought he would stay a lifelong bachelor, much like Leonardo DiCaprio. However, Mayer told the Comfort Food podcast with Kelly Rizzo he has always wanted marriage and a family. He just had not found the right person.
Mayer wrote: “I’ve never told anyone this. People don’t think I want to be married. I absolutely want to be married. You know the secret, which is that I’m actually fairly well-adjusted. I so badly want to get married if only for my wife to just know in her heart, like, ‘John will know what to do.’”
He continued:“I just think that level of being relied on is the hottest thing in the world to me. Like, ‘If my husband was here, he would know what to do. Call John. Call my husband.’ I just think … you’re a full grown-up when this is your romantic fantasy. You’re a fully-fledged grown-up.”
Now, fans think this relationship could be different, as the couple seems to share similar values and priorities.
