Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have expressed their views on the disgraced royal Prince Andrew.
They view him as a stain on the Royal Family and the monarchy because of his deep and disgusting ties to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
William And Kate Demand Andrew’s Exile
For months, Prince William has been butting heads with his father, King Charles III, who he believes showed embarrassing weakness by accepting his fallen brother at his coronation, at family gatherings, including Christmas events, and on holidays in Scotland.
The Prince of Wales was said to be enraged when he was forced to drive his disgraced uncle to church under King Charles’s command.
However, Prince William struck back: he and Princess Kate refused to attend Christmas gatherings whenever Andrew was invited, and they adjusted their holiday schedules to avoid face-to-face encounters with the Duke of York at Balmoral Castle.
The concerted push to exile and punish Andrew bore its fruits. Andrew is officially a stain on the monarchy’s long history, and he has relinquished all of his titles.
The Royal Lodge Problem
However, there is still one issue that Prince William and Kate Middleton would like to address sooner rather than later. Now that the royal couple and their young children have relocated to Frogmore Cottage, they are a stone’s throw from Andrew’s dilapidated mansion, known as Royal Lodge.
Tina Brown said on her TBD podcast: “But how do you disappear a 6-foot-tall, 190-pound, 65-year-old man in robust good health who has an iron-clad contract to live in the Queen Mother’s former mansion, a short neigh from Windsor Castle and just four miles from the new “forever” home of Prince William and Kate, who can’t abide him?”
The castle is falling apart, and Andrew has no money, having been almost left out of the Queen‘s will and having spent millions on lawyers to suppress the Virginia Giuffre story. Prince William and Kate Middleton are clear that they have no desire to live next to the most disgraced royal. They do not want to run into Andrew when they go for a stroll or when they drive their kids to school, and they most certainly do not want their children exposed to the old, perverted uncle.
Prince Andrew Is The $745,000 Thorn In William And Kate’s Side
The ideal plan right now is to capitalize on the stunning momentum against Andrew, whom everyone dislikes, and remove him from the estate. However, there is one major problem: to get him out of his hundred-year lease, they would have to pay him a massive check.
Based on the stunning details about Prince Andrew’s lease on Royal Lodge, he will be a thorn in Princess Catherine’s and Prince William’s sides for years to come. In 2003, he signed a 75-year lease with the Crown Estate to occupy the property until June 2078.
The initial payment for the leasehold was £1 million, which was approximately $1.65 million USD in 2003, but it has now been revealed that his mother agreed for her favorite son to pay a “peppercorn” rent—a very low or nominal, yet undisclosed, annual amount—”if demanded,” raising the possibility that he has never paid a dime in rent.
An interesting detail in the agreement is a clause stipulating that the Crown Estate would be obligated to pay Prince Andrew an estimated £558,000, which is approximately $745,000 USD (current estimate), if he were to voluntarily relinquish his long-term lease.
Prince William And His Wife Kate Middleton’s Painful And Insulting Negotiation With Prince Andrew
This financial arrangement complicates any push by Prince William and Princess Catherine to have him exiled from the neighboring property.
Sources claim that the couple finds it insulting and infuriating that they will have to reach a point where they will have to negotiate and possibly pay Andrew to have their peace of mind in their new home.
Many are still baffled as to why King Charles did not find a loophole and struck a deal to evict his brother, as he did to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage, knowing that they were paying rent.
