John Stamos is making it crystal clear that after more than 40 years of a deep friendship and partnership with actress Lori Loughlin, he knows her better than almost anybody.
Stamos also claimed that he has some dirt on her estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli.
Stamos Labels Estranged Husband “Narcissist” Over College Scandal
In a recent interview, the actor described the multi-millionaire businessman as a “narcissist” responsible for the couple’s 2019 college admissions scandal that brought them pain, humiliation, jail sentences, and blacklisting in Hollywood.
On The Good Guy Podcast, Stamos defended his Full House co-star, saying after four decades, he can confidently call her a saint — someone who would never do anything illegal to harm her family, career, or legacy.
The television star stated: “Forty years I’ve known her. You can see through people after a few years. This woman’s a saint. I’m just heartbroken for her right now.” He further begged listeners to take him at his word: Lori Loughlin is as good as they come.
He added, “I really tried to be there for her during [the divorce] and also with the college scandal. I’m not going to debate whether she had much to do with it or not. I know she didn’t.” Stamos lamented: “She goes to f–king prison for this a**hole for three months.”
In 2019, the Department of Justice announced a cheating scheme involving several wealthy and famous parents, including Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli.
These parents paid substantial sums to secure their children’s admission to top colleges. Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to paying $500,000 to secure admission for their daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, as crew recruits at the University of Southern California.
Loughlin served two months in a federal prison, while Giannulli served five months behind bars. Stamos went on to say that at this point in Giannulli’s life only prayers could help him with “whatever hole he’s trying to fill. Whatever negativity or hardships that you’ve been through in your life is connected to this guy. You know? I mean.”
Loughlin Separated From Giannulli After Finding Incriminating Texts
John Stamos did not directly confirm reports that Mossimo Giannulli was unfaithful but hinted at problems at home. He confessed that she had endured a lot over the years and added: “She put up with a lot over the years. Look, he’s a very successful dude. I will never talk to him again. He’s a terrible narcissist and I don’t think you ever get out of that.”
Loughlin is unlikely to contradict Stamos’s statements about her estranged husband, as she has separated from Giannulli after nearly 30 years of marriage.
The 90210 actress pulled the plug on her marriage after she discovered a series of intimate and incriminating texts on her husband’s phone.
A friend told Page Six: “Mossimo had used Lori for years. She was hoping maybe he would change when he got out of prison, but he got worse. Truly, the tipping point came when Lori found a bunch of text messages.”
One insider also spoke to PEOPLE and claimed: “It’s not a happy situation for her. They’re in very different places right now and it’s unlikely that they’ll find their way back together.”
The Actress Is Ready To “Get Up Again” And Start A New Chapter
Lori Loughlin has made it clear that she is finished with Mossimo Giannulli and wants to write a new chapter of her life.
Both Loughlin and Giannulli appear to be enjoying the company of others since their split. In a recent interview with Women’s Magazine, Loughlin explains how she handles the obstacles of life: “Every day, we’re met with different obstacles. But, for me, it’s like that song says, ‘I get knocked down, but I get up again.’”
Friends have stated that is what the actress plans to do — get up and keep going with her life.
