New polls show that support for the monarchy is at an all-time low.
This week, a survey released via Savanta revealed that only 46% of the public say they want to “keep the Royal Family,” with 39% saying they oppose it. That is a massive hit for the Royal Family because in June 2024, 60% of the British public said they backed the Royal Family and the monarchy.
Graham Smith, CEO of anti-monarchy group Republic, explained that the Royal Family is facing some serious trouble, citing the “torrid week of hell” for the royals after Prince Andrew was forced to drop his remaining titles following new bombshells about his ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Damning Survey Results
The survey also found:
- 71% say they do not believe Andrew’s claims of innocence.
- 77% say he should face a criminal investigation into allegations of sexual abuse.
- 70% say police have not taken enough action against him.
The poll also asked if people believed the Royal Family knew about Andrew’s alleged behavior before it was publicly reported. Of those who said they believed the Royal Family was aware of Prince Andrew’s disgraceful activities before it was made public, 61% said yes.
The Call For A Full Inquiry
Smith said: “The monarchy is in serious trouble. This isn’t just about Andrew, it’s about all of them, the whole institution. No wonder the public doesn’t believe Andrew, but it’s worrying for the royals that people believe William and Charles were aware of the allegations before they were reported in the press. People clearly want a wider inquiry, and the authorities need to deliver. We need to know who knew what, and when. It is devastating in a democracy to have so many believe we’re not equal in law, and this is possibly part of the reason support for the monarchy has fallen below 50%. Our politicians are completely out of touch with public opinion on this. Clearly, the loss of titles was never going to be enough of a punishment. We now need a full inquiry, criminal investigation, and a national debate about the monarchy and why it is so obviously corrupt.”
The poll showed that 76% of the people surveyed claimed that the royals are not treated equally to the general public when it comes to breaking the law. Almost 60% of those asked also said the late Queen Elizabeth did too much to protect her son.
These embarrassing incidents have prompted King Charles to accelerate his efforts to banish his brother and return to the business that pays him—managing the monarchy.
Sources told The Daily Mail that he and Prince William are working overtime to evict Prince Andrew from Royal Lodge and further erase him from the royal family.
It has also been revealed that King Charles has taken a firm step against Prince Andrew’s demand to have two homes, Frogmore and Adelaide Cottages, when he leaves the Royal Lodge.
After reading this story it looks like I’m the only person out there that finds this a bit of a witch hunt Andrew has not been convicted of anything yes he knew Epstein but to what extent who knows because except for one other person besides Andrew the rest are all dead as for the photo of him with a girl I think that is doctored because I’m of an age that used 35m film and have many times in my dark room super imposed one photo over another chopped negatives and brushed them in to get after a few more takes with a grainie film and paper get a near perfect photo of people or things together that in real life never happened and to me it seems rather strange that she decides to kill herself just weeks before the release of her book which means she cannot be questioned about it maybe Andrew did have sex with her but by law she was old enough and Andrew was single at the time so for that he hasn’t done anything more than 90 per cent of the men in this country has all the rest except that he knew Epstein is here say of dead people as for the spy I’m sure that he didn’t tell Andrew that he was a spy anyway what would Andrew know that would be of any use to him and Andrew being the royalist that he is I don’t think he would be telling bedtime stories to him do you honestly think he did if you weren’t selling a story for your news paper
