Donald Trump Dumps Marjorie Taylor Greene: The Inside Story of Their Political “Divorce”

President Donald Trump Marjorie Taylor Greene Joe Biden Hunter Impeachment

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is following in the footsteps of many couples who split just before the holidays.

The fiery Georgia politician officially parted ways with Donald Trump, the Republican Party, and politics ahead of Thanksgiving.

Just like in a real divorce, Donald Trump could not be happier that his biggest supporter-turned-nemesis has decided to leave the House, or “his house” as he likes to put it.

After months of feuding with the President over the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, Marjorie Taylor Greene announced her resignation from her post.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Breakup With Donald Trump

Greene explained that she knew it was best to quit because Trump had threatened to replace her with another candidate. Indeed, the President was pushing for Republicans to step up and challenge her in a primary ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

She said: “I will be resigning from office with my last day being January 5, 2026.”

Greene will cleverly quit just days before her official pension eligibility date so she can secure a lifetime pension from Congress.

She went on to say: “I have too much self-respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” Greene said. “It’s all so absurd and completely unserious.”

The Georgia Republican continued: “I refuse to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping it all goes away and gets better.”

Greene’s shock announcement came days after Donald Trump, in a lengthy and loud post on Truth Social, announced that he was withdrawing his support because of her push to get the Justice Department to release the Epstein documents. Greene also opposed Trump by supporting an extension of Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies set to expire on December 31.

President Donald Trump Hails The Departure Of “Wacky” Marjorie

Trump had many choice words for Greene. He wrote: “I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia. Over the past few weeks, despite my creating Record Achievements for our Country including, a Total and Complete Victory on the Shutdown, Closed Borders, Low Taxes, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden’s Record Setting Inflation, Biggest Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT WARS, rebuilding our Military, being RESPECTED by every Country in the World (as opposed to being the laughingstock that we were just 12 months ago!), having Trillions of Dollars (Record Setting!) INVESTED in the U.S.A., and having created the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World from being a DEAD Country just 12 months ago (and so much more!), All I see “Wacky” Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! It seemed to all begin when I sent her a Poll saying she shouldn’t run for Senator or Governor; she was at 12% and didn’t have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement — which she wasn’t about to get!). She has told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day. I understand that wonderful, Conservative people are thinking about primarying Marjorie in her District of Georgia, that they, too, are fed up with her and her antics, and if the right person runs, they will have my Complete and Unyielding Support. She has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their low-IQ Republican hating Anchors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Just like one party during a bitter and public divorce announcement, Trump is beaming with joy that Greene is out of his spectacular hair. To celebrate, Trump rushed to ABC to give his feelings on the matter.

President Trump hailed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s surprising resignation announcement as “great news” for the nation.

The real estate mogul said during a phone call, “I think it’s great news for the country. Nah, it doesn’t matter, you know? But I think it’s great. I think she should be happy.”

Trump claimed that Greene did not give him the heads-up before dropping the political bomb.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Resignation Narrows House Majority

A House GOP aide spoke to The New York Post and obliterated Greene’s decision, saying that her stunt is “vindictive” and she did it to deliberately “f—k” over the majority.

Indeed, like in most divorces, the children will suffer. In this case, the Republican party will get a blow because Greene’s departure will narrow the GOP’s slim majority in the House; there are currently 219 Republicans and 213 Democrats.

Some political experts believed Greene would run for President, while others predicted she would land a lucrative, cushy job at CNN or Fox News.
