Hillary Clinton recently took part in an interview where she made some comments that should alarm Democrats.
Barack Obama‘s former Secretary of State made the bold prediction that Donald Trump is laying the groundwork for another presidential bid.
This would be Trump’s third attempt at the highest office in the land. He was successful in his efforts in 2016 when he beat Clinton.
It is considered one of the biggest political upsets in American political history.
The business mogul went up for reelection in 2020, and because his presidency was riddled with scandals and his mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic — he was unsuccessful against Joe Biden.
In 2024, if former President Trump throws his hat in the ring, he will most likely go against Biden again.
However, reports claim that Biden, who will be 82 years old after the next presidential election, might retire from politics and let Kamala Harris, the current vice president of the United States, take his place on the ballots.
Sitting down on NBC for an interview, Hillary Clinton issued a dire warning for Biden and Harris.
Former Secretary of State Clinton told the top Democrats and members of her party to be prepared because Trump is eying a third bid that could lead to “the end” of US democracy.
Clinton said: “If I were a betting person right now, I’d say Trump is going to run again. He seems to be setting himself up to do that, and if he’s not held accountable, he gets to do it again.”
She went on to add: “I think that could be the end of our democracy. Not to be too pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this could be a make-or-break point. If he or someone of his ilk were once again to be elected president, especially if he had a Congress that would do his bidding, you will not recognize our country.”
Since losing the election, Trump has been railing against Democrats and foreign entities for rigging the system against him and stealing the election.
He has also vowed to have his revenge and return to power on numerous occasions. At a recent conservative gathering, Trump told his supporters and mega-donors that his incredible political journey is “far from over.”
Trump also told his backers at a 9/11 tribute that he has made a decision about his political future and added: “For me, it’s an easy question … I know what I’m going to do. I think you’re going to be happy, let me put it that way. I think you’re going to be very happy.”
Political pundits are divided on the matter. Some believe Trump should never be ruled out because he is capable of anything.
Others claim that the reality TV star turned face of the Republican party is doing what he does best — putting on a show and giving the media something to talk about.
