Melania Trump Under Fire For Joining Forces With Michelle Obama And Hillary Clinton To Heal Political Divide

Melania Trump Other First Ladies

Former first lady Melania Trump made a surprising announcement that captivated Republicans and Democrats alike.

Taking to her official Twitter account, the businesswoman and wife of former President Donald Trump revealed that she is putting partisanship aside to join all of the living former first ladies.

Melania Trump will join forces with Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, Rosalynn Carter, and USA’s current first lady, Dr. Jill Biden, for a historical event that will honor the many brave and determined women who led the suffragette movement.

Obama, Bush, Clinton, Carter, Biden, and Trump are members of the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation, which has the mission to erect a long overdue statue that pays homage to the women who fought for their right to vote.

The foundation is working with several other committees to develop a design, find funds, and secure a place for the monument.

The Women’s Suffrage National Monument, dubbed the Every Word We Utter Monument, will be located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

In a show of unity, while honoring the important women of the past, Melania Trump tweeted: “I am honored to join @WomensMonument and serve as an Honorary Chair of the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation to help secure a monument on the National Mall of enduring inspiration for women and future female leaders.”

Many have applauded Trump’s decision to be gracious and work with the other ladies, although they all have different political stances and personal views on a long list of issues.

Others slammed her for backing the birther movement and never acknowledging Biden when she entered the White House.

Melania Trump’s former senior adviser and author of Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, was quick to slam the move with a message that read: “Honoring and respecting women begins at home, Melania.”

The Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation was founded in 2018 when Donald Trump was president. In 2020, Congress enacted a law that authorized the creation of the monument.

The legal document read in part: “The Every Word We Utter Monument may establish a commemorative work on Federal land in the District of Columbia and its environs to commemorate the women’s suffrage movement and the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which gave women the right to vote.”

The Women’s Suffrage National Monument will be unveiled sometime in the summer of 2027. There is great hope that Dr. Jill Biden, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, Rosalynn Carter, and Melania Trump will attempt to heal the country’s political fracture by appearing at the unveiling of the monument.
