Donald Trump Gets Heartbreaking Message From Mitch McConnell

Donald Trump might not be aware, but Republicans are showing him the exit door out of political life.

In a new interview, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell made a hurtful comment about the former president.

Trump, who announced that he was running for the White House in 2024, was told that his policies and way of doing business are no longer what the GOP needs.

The high-profile politician cited the disastrous 2022 midterm elections as the main reason why the billionaire real estate mogul should remove himself from the presidential race.

During a sit-down on NBC News, the senator from Kentucky spoke about the many MAGA Republicans who were backed by Trump and who pushed the idea of overturning the 2020 presidential election results and lost their races.

Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, TV star Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania, and former football player Herschel Walker in Georgia have contributed to their own defeat by denying that Joe Biden won the election or getting too close to Trump.

Other reasons for the GOP to flee from Donald Trump include his many ongoing lawsuits and investigations.

McConnell wrote off Trump as the future of the GOP with these crushing words: “Here’s what I think has changed: I think the former president’s political clout has diminished. The Republican Party is less inclined to accept cards that may be dealt to us.”

The senator from Kentucky went on to say: “We can do a better job with less potential interference. The former President may have other things to do, and the GOP is losing independents and moderate Republicans to the Democrats for one particular reason associated with the former President. [It’s] primarily related to the view they had of us as a party — largely made by the former President — that we were sort of nasty and tended toward chaos.”

The Republican Party has been on a quest to rebrand and create a larger tent around Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is leading in many polls against Donald Trump.

The Senate minority leader and Trump had a nasty war of words recently. McConnell criticized Trump for hosting a dinner with white supremacist Nick Fuentes and antisemitic rapper Ye/Kanye West by stating: “There is no room in the Republican Party for antisemitism or white supremacy. Let me just say again, and there is simply no room in the Republican Party for antisemitism or white supremacy.”

In an interview with Fox News, Trump hit back by saying: “Mitch is a loser for our nation and for the Republican Party who would not have been re-elected in Kentucky without my endorsement, which he begged me for because he was going down.”

Trump reportedly needs to run to protect himself from more troubles with the law.

  1. While being alled out for the poor choice of dinner guests all he had to come back with was middle school rhetoric and name calling. No rebuttal, reconsideration…just name calling. We can do better. RD 24
