A source, who spoke to PEOPLE, explained the reason behind Melania Trump’s decision to skip the campaign trail and all public appearances surrounding her husband’s presidential bid.
A person familiar with the situation claimed that Melania Trump is no longer comfortable at political events and has indirectly relegated the role to other women in the family.
The insider revealed: “Melania is not now or hasn’t recently taken part in her husband’s political events. It is not comfortable for her. Melania can be aloof and not particularly friendly because she simply wants to be left alone.”
Another source claimed: “She remains angry and doesn’t want to hear [the alleged hush money payment] mentioned. She is aware of who her husband is and keeps her life upbeat with her own family and a few close friends. At this stage of her life, she does not want to be in the spotlight.”
The person also revealed how Melania Trump is dealing with her husband’s arrest and indictment over the role he played in the hush-money payment he made to porn star Stormy Daniels.
The insider added: “Melania does what is expected and wants Barron to have as much protection around him as possible. Melania’s normally quiet and the background manner has served her well in the series of scandals plaguing her husband. I assume this will continue.”
