As former President Donald Trump was partying and enjoying Halloween with Melania Trump at the Mar-a-Lago Club, he has received a mighty fright about his freedom being taken away soon.
Trump is being warned that his future looks doom and gloom by the political opponent he fears the most. The billionaire real estate developer is tied up in multiple court cases and investigations, with the two most serious ones being the mishandling of classified documents and his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Appearing on Morning Joe, the former governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, laid out the reasons why Donald Trump should be scared to death.
The Republican presidential candidate says Donald Trump will be convicted in one of his legal cases. The former federal prosecutor said Donald Trump’s great fall will come with former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who was granted a “deadly” immunity in the case.
Christie predicted that Trump’s political career was over and added: “This is a guy who was Velcro to Trump’s hip for the entire 2020 campaign and all the post-campaign nonsense. And so this is deadly, it’s done. He’s going to be convicted. … It’s over.”
He continued: “I want Republican voters to understand this — what’s going to be happening in March? He’s going to be sitting in a courtroom in Washington, D.C., with Mark Meadows 20 feet away from him, saying, ‘He committed crimes in front of me on my watch.”
Chris Christie went on to say that Mark Meadows’s evidence will surely land his former boss behind bars.
He claimed: “You don’t give Mark Meadows immunity unless the evidence he has is unimpeachable.”
According to ABC News, Meadows accepted Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith’s immunity deal in exchange for his testimony before a grand jury in the election interference case.
Thus far, Meadows has appeared in front of another grand jury three times.
Chris Christie’s predictions might be of interest to Donald Trump. According to the host of Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough, Christie might be the only man on this planet whom Trump is afraid of.
Ahead of the launch of the Republican debates, the political pundit stated: “He saw what Chris Christie did to Marco Rubio when Chris Christie went into a debate with one thing in mind, he knows Chris Christie put Jared Kushner’s father in jail for a very long time. [Trump] knows he’s a prosecutor who’s ruthless and knows how to push his case. And he also knows that his secret sauce in 2016 was being the disruptor.”
He concluded that Trump was scared to death of Christie and added: “Obviously, his political gut instinct is second to none like he sees it coming. And so I think he’s scared to death of Chris Christie and will not have the guts to go or the nerve to go on stage with Chris Christie anywhere.”
Trump is still leading in the polls despite his legal problems.
