For the past year, reporters and some of Donald Trump‘s political opponents have been on a mission to find Melania Trump or at least better understand her prolonged absence on the campaign trail.
According to a recent report, the former first lady had a lot of reasons to avoid being seen on the campaign trail or political events with her husband.
One former staff member claimed that Melania Trump deemed some of the gatherings not big or important enough for her to be present.
Or she avoided going out because she preferred to stay at home be a mother to her teen son, Barron Trump.
In a piece that was published in The Washington Post, it was revealed that Melania Trump avoided campaigning and public events because she simply did not like them.
The media outlet reported: “Usually, however, Melania’s absence was due to more mundane reasons: She didn’t really like doing certain things, and she didn’t feel like her husband needed her to.”
A former staffer, who spoke to the publication, gave more details as to why Melania Trump stays as far away as possible from MAGA-loving supporters.
According to the ex-employee, Melania Trump does not like the fact that she has to sit like a doll and smile while Donald Trump talks endlessly to voters and donors.
The source claimed that Melania Trump is turned off by some of Donald Trump’s fans who are “creepy” because they invade her privacy and space with unsolicited questions about her clothes, accessories, and even her perfume.
The source revealed to the media outlet: “Melania has never liked politics and has never enjoyed being trapped at events while he “talks and talks, and she sits there and is expected to smile. “[People] get creepy and invasive with her,” always trying to put their arms around her or ask her what perfume she uses or the brand of her sunglasses.”
Donald Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, issued a fiery statement slamming the report.
The representative stated: “There will always be those who seek relevance and financial gain by inserting themselves into stories. Mrs. Trump has always been and will always be focused on her family, as it is her number one priority. Any reports claiming to have insight into her life should be read with caution.”
Melania Trump will certainly prove to the media that she does not find her MAGA supporters creepy by making more appearances on the campaign trail, where she will fully embrace them, chat with them, and listen to their grievances and all the reasons why they are backing her husband instead of President Joe Biden.
