For Christmas or any time of the year, Donald Trump will not be interested in having this artist’s songs played at his Mar-a-Lago Club.
The former president, who loves to sing and dance to music while on the campaign trail, is not a fan of legendary singer and songwriter Michael Bolton.
The former reality TV star finds the pop-rock artist impressive and deems him a real competitor, but he does not like him, not one bit.
In official court documents and one of Donald Trump’s many interviews throughout the years, it was revealed that Michael Bolton turned the Republican politician’s life upside down by stealing the woman he was dating.
The “Said I Loved You…But I Lied” and “Go the Distance” crooner had an affair with Marla Maples. Well, technically, it was not an affair because Maples and Trump were on a brief break when the silky voice artist swooped in and whisked TV personality away for at least one night.
According to FBI files obtained by Inside Edition — an investigation into Maples’s former publicist, Chuck Jones led to the discovery of the love triangle.
Jones was interrogated by the FBI for stealing Marla Maples’s nude photos and shoes. According to the FBI files, the disgruntled former employee exposed the steamy one-night session between Maples and Bolton.
Jones testified in court to say: “She had brought singer Michael Bolton back to her room following Trump’s departure for a West Coast trip.”
He also revealed Maples’s alleged affair with a bodyguard, Spencer Wagner. Wagner always denied the claims.
In an interview, Donald Trump said he dumped Maples like a dog once he discovered that she was sharing private moments with Bolton.
However, he decided to take her back and marry her because if the number one pop star wanted Maples, she had to be special, and therefore he had to have her.
Donald Trump boldly declared in Vanity Fair: “She was very hurt. Michael Bolton calls Marla and says, ‘Marla, I’d like to take you out.’ And he falls madly in love with her. Now, I say to myself, Wait a minute. I don’t like this. Michael Bolton—he’s got the No. 1 f*cking album in the world, Time, Love and Tenderness, and what that does to a guy like me, a competitive guy, it’s like an affirmation that the girl has to be great because the No. 1 singer has fallen for her. There’s nothing wrong with what she’s doing. I left her. Not only that. I left her like a dog.”
Maples and ex-husband Trump share one adult daughter — Tiffany Ariana Trump. Donald Trump being the “competitive guy” that he is probably does not want Melania Trump or anyone else in his entourage playing Michael Bolton’s silky and smooth ballads when he is around.
