The businessman was surrounded by his adult children as he delivered a roaring victory speech. He said: “This was an amazing night, an amazing day; it’s been an incredible period of time in our country’s history.”
Trump went on to thank his family by saying: “This has been a day that we’ve been waiting for. I want to thank my family for being here. It’s a great family. I have a great family. They’ve had it very easy since I decided to run for politics. They say, thanks a lot, Dad. We appreciate it. But they’re strong. And they’re very capable people, and they love the country. They really do love the country. And we appreciate it.”
