Melania Trump has been given an extra reason to be extremely worried about her husband. Donald Trump is known for his fighting spirit and often appears invincible.
However, it seems that at least one terrible event in the life of the former president has left him emotionally and physically wounded to the point that some staff members and his family are concerned.
In July, during a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump was inches from losing his life after a would-be assassin shot at him at least five times.
Trump survived the assassination attempt that left one supporter dead. The billionaire real estate mogul emerged from the shooting with his fist up and yelling “fight, fight.”
He has continued with that warrior spirit on the campaign trail as he navigates his new reality — he is no longer competing against Joe Biden and has to be ready for Kamala Harris.
However, Republicans close to Trump, who are part of his campaign and therefore see the way he functions on a daily basis, have become alarmed.
According to Vanity Fair, a staff member explained that since the shooting, Trump has become obsessed with watching and reliving the horrific event over and over.
The aide said that they believe the president has PTSD and added: “He’s been watching that seven-second clip of how close he was to getting shot right in the head—over and over and over again. He may legit have PTSD.”
Mental health experts believe that it is more than natural for Donald Trump to be dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after enduring such a shocking and dangerous experience as an assassination attempt.
However, some of Trump’s closest allies have expressed their fear that he is “in a spiral” and are uncertain if he can “snap out of it.”
Trump’s fellow Republicans point to his rambling and rantings during his recent press conferences where he is unable to stick to the script.
The 78-year-old rattled members of his party during his interview with the National Association of Black Journalists, where he made a bizarre remark about Harris.
He suggested that Harris, who is of Jamaican and Indian descent, was suddenly choosing to identify as a Black woman for political gain.

Trump claimed that there were more people at the rally ahead of the January 6, 2021, insurrection than the one at Martin Luther King Jr.‘s march on Washington in 1963.
Instead of discussing the economy, inflation, and health care, the politician has been promoting the theory that Kamala Harris has been using AI photos to fake the size of her crowds.
While most of Trump’s friends and allies are talking anonymously to the media about his alarming behavior, former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who is more gutsy, appeared on Fox to say that the former president must stop his nonsensical ramblings and start questioning Harris on her positions and policies.
Trump explained that his wife watched on live TV the moment he narrowly escaped an assassin’s bullets and has been traumatized by the event.
She is already losing sleep from what she had witnessed, and his obsession with constantly reliving that dark moment is uneasy for the former first lady.
