Donald Trump Is Offered Olive Branch From King Charles After Queen Elizabeth Funeral Drama

Donald Trump Joe Biden Vaccine Praises

King Charles III and the royal family have extended invitations to all former American Presidents, including Donald Trump and Barack Obama, to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.

The Monarch died on September 8 in Scotland at the age of 96. The current president of the United States, Joe Biden, and First Lady Jill Biden are set to travel to England to attend Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral, which will take place on Monday at Westminster Abbey.

There will be over 500 world leaders and dignitaries at the event, according to Sky News.

Due to capacity issues, King Charles and Buckingham Palace were forced to deny many political leaders and public figures invitations to the funeral.

Trump, Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter have been invited to participate in a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Washington National Cathedral.

The British Embassy, National Cathedral, and the royal family collaborated to put the event together.

It is not known which former president will be present at the church ceremony.

Trump previously stated that he wanted to attend the funeral in London and pleaded with King Charles to make the necessary modifications so Biden could bring a delegation and, therefore, he would receive an invitation.

By the looks of things, King Charles did not really budge, yet found a compromise to have Trump participate in the events honoring Her Majesty.

The Queen, who reigned over the UK for 70 years, met with many world leaders, including 14 American presidents.

Upon discovering that Queen Elizabeth had passed away, Barack Obama issued a lengthy statement that focused on her legacy.

He wrote in part: “From the day of her coronation 70 years ago—the first one ever televised—to this very moment, as countless tributes are being posted online in her honor, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has captivated the world. Today, Michelle and I join so many others who are celebrating her life and mourning her passing.”

The tribute went on to say: “Michelle and I were lucky enough to come to know Her Majesty, and she meant a great deal to us. Back when we were just beginning to navigate life as President and First Lady, she welcomed us to the world stage with open arms and extraordinary generosity. Time and again, we were struck by her warmth, the way she put people at ease, and how she brought her considerable humor and charm to moments of great pomp and circumstance.”

Former Republican President Donald Trump praised Queen Elizabeth with this post: “Queen Elizabeth’s historic and remarkable reign left a tremendous legacy of peace and prosperity for Great Britain. Her leadership and enduring diplomacy secured and advanced alliances with the United States and countries around the world.”

Many are wondering if Obama and Trump speak at Queen Elizabeth’s Thanksgiving Service.
