Meghan Markle‘s claims that senior royal family members turned their backs on her when she needed them the most have been denied forcefully by multiple anonymous palace aides and confidants.
In the updated version of his book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, Andrew Morton wrote that Queen Elizabeth II enlisted her top and most trusted employees to ensure that Meghan Markle was protected.
Earlier this year, the former actress sat down with Oprah Winfrey and revealed some disturbing details about her brief time living between the walls of the royal residences.
The activist and public speaker confessed that she struggled after getting married to Prince Harry.
The philanthropist said that she was hurt by the lies printed by the British tabloids, including how she made her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, cry over a disagreement before her royal wedding when the opposite happened.
Meghan Markle also explained that she was battling mental issues during her pregnancy which led to her becoming suicidal.
During the sit-down, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, revealed that she did not receive any support from the royal family despite her plea for help.
The powerful couple claimed that they would not have stepped down from their royal duties and moved to California if they had received the proper support they desperately needed from the royal family.
Contrary to what the Duchess of Sussex said in the bombshell sit-down, staffing was deployed for her to feel well adjusted and safe, according to the famous author and royal expert.
The biographer revealed that Queen Elizabeth provided Meghan Markle with what he described as a “formidable backroom staff” to guide her.
According to a royal insider, many of the aides “bent over backward to help her.” Morton said that serious manpower was deployed to monitor racist or violent threats made against Meghan Markle.
Palace staffers made sure to report them to the police. It was not revealed if the British authorities found any threats credible or took action against the trolls or potential criminals who wanted to harm the royal.
He revealed in the new chapters of the book: “Far from abandoning Meghan, the Palace had a team which spent ‘hundreds of hours monitoring social media accounts and ‘violent threats were reported to the police.”
According to the author, Prince Harry’s actions and words led to rifts with the royal family, yet his wife, Meghan Markle, was the one who was blamed.
Morton said: “Harry was the ‘prime mover’ in souring relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, but it was Meghan who ‘took the hit’. The couple lobbied Prince Charles to change the rules so their son, Archie, would not become a Prince – not the other way around, as they have suggested.”
Other tidbits that were shared in the book include: “Prince William did not agree with Meghan and Harry’s decision to keep the names of Archie’s godparents a secret. The Duchess of Cambridge‘s coolness towards Meghan and William’s alleged bullying contributed to a devastating ‘Cain and Abel’ fallout between the brothers.”
The fresh details about the royal split come days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to go against Prince William’s authority and decision not to have their baby daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, christened in England.
Meghan Markle and her spouse also decided to cancel an upcoming trip to London where they were supposed to reunite with Prince William and Kate Middleton for an event honoring Princess Diana.
