By the looks of things, King Charles III is a chess player who is always trying to be multiple moves ahead of his opponents.
For the past three years, King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family have been locked in a brutal transatlantic PR war with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
After stepping down from their royal duties, Prince Harry and his spouse have taken part in interviews, released a Netflix series, and published a book entitled Spare in which they spilled all the Royal Family’s dirty secrets.
The wild accusations and revelations led to loud chatter that King Charles would find a way to punish Markle and Prince Harry.
Many demanded that King Charles humiliate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by removing their titles altogether.
When Prince Harry and the former actress left London, the Royal Family took the decision that they would no longer have the right to be addressed as His or Her Royal Highness, but they were allowed to keep the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
With the voices of those demanding that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lose their great honors growing louder by the day, it seemed that King Charles caved.
However, a source with knowledge of the situation spoke to a royal expert to reveal that King Charles has made up his mind and has no plans to take the titles from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The royal insider claimed that even in the extreme case of Markle running for president and getting to the highest office in the land, they will keep the titles.
In an interview with the Express, royal expert Robert Jobson said even if Meghan Markle became President of the United States, nothing would happen to her title.
Jobson revealed: “I was at Royal Ascot the other day, and I met a source who is quite close to the Royal Family. I said, ‘Well, what about all this stuff about stripping titles?”
The royal author added: “If you’re going to have a President Meghan, then surely they’re not going to want to have their royal titles, and they will be kicked out of the line of succession?’ I asked. And he absolutely categorically said that’s just not going to happen.”
King Charles has calculated that the chances of his second son ever becoming king is nil, so he finds it pointless to start a war over titles.
