Kate Middleton, through tries and tribulations, has earned herself a new title: warrior princess. Catherine, Princess of Wales, just went through the most horrific year of her life.
After overcoming illness and major surgery, Kate Middleton’s commitment to her royal duties has only strengthened. She is determined to uphold the monarchy and King Charles III‘s legacy in a positive light.
It was not a great week for the influential British family. Prince William faced a challenging situation when he attended a soccer game and was subjected to humiliation and insults from the crowd.
While cheering on during the Aston Villa vs. Celtics game, the crowd started chanting vile words toward the future King and long-standing British institution.
According to the Telegraph, the soccer fans chanted, “Lizzie‘s in a box” and “If you hate the Royal Family, clap your hands.”
Celtics supporters displayed a large banner that read “Michael Fagan The Prowler,” a reference to the 1982 intruder who was found in Queen Elizabeth II‘s bedroom at Buckingham Palace.
The incident did not deter Middleton from her mission; if anything, it forced her to participate in even more royal engagements to shut down the anti-establishment movement and to quiet the trolls.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has decided to inject steroids into the late Queen‘s favorite motto, “You have to be seen to be believed.”
The monarchy will be seen more than ever and will definitely be believed if the future Queen has anything to do with it.
Kate Middleton was seen alongside Prince William at a ceremony commemorating the Holocaust Memorial in London. She was visibly moved and had an emotional moment as she connected with Jewish attendees, a testament to her empathy and understanding of the event’s significance.
The royal wore a vintage pearl necklace that conveyed a powerful message. Susan Caplan, founder of the eponymous vintage jewelry brand, explained to PEOPLE: “Because she wore a necklace from our collection, being a Jewish brand, I was so touched by that.”
Kate Middleton brought a bit of hope and happiness as she visited a children’s hospice in South Wales. The Princess of Wales met with doctors, patients, and family members at the Tŷ Hafan.
It was also announced that she would take over for King Charles as charity patron. Tracy Jones, director of family wellbeing services, who toured the hospital with Princess Kate, told PEOPLE: “She immediately gravitated to the children and families — she spent quality time talking to every child and their parents.”
During her trip to Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, Kate Middleton visited the Corgi knitwear factory established in 1892 to supply socks to miners.
This visit was a royal engagement and a nod to the region’s industrial history and the hard work of the factory’s employees.
While leaving the factory, Princess Kate made “a highly unusual move,” stopping her car and rushing out to meet and talk to 3-year-old Lily-Rose, who had been calling out “Hello princess!” as Kate left Corgi, a knitwear and sock factory.
The BBC reported: “Princess Kate jogged over to shake Lily-Rose’s hand” and said, “I heard you say ‘Hello’ from all the way back there, and I wanted to come and see you.”
While unfortunate, incidents such as the one involving Prince William have become part of the family’s public life since the Queen’s passing, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s documentary about the monarchy’s shameful past.
Middleton has decided that her show must go on for the sake of the monarchy’s future.
