Over recent days, Miley Cyrus has been sharing throwback photos on her Instagram, including magazine and newspaper covers from her days playing Hannah Montana.
In a new interview, Miley Cyrus revealed that she went through an identity crisis after the Disney series that shot her to stardom, confessing she felt like no one cared about her outside of Hannah Montana.
The singer and actress stated: “The concept of the show is that when you’re this character when you have this alter ego, you’re valuable. You’ve got millions of fans; you’re the biggest star in the world. Then the concept was that when I looked like myself when I didn’t have the wig on anymore, no one cared about me. I wasn’t a star anymore.”
She went on to explain: “That was drilled into my head [that], without being Hannah Montana], no one cares about you. That was the concept. I really had to break that…[I] had gone from being a character almost as often as I was myself.”
The music sensation might have become a bit wiser.
