Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Score Big Win After Their Trip To London And Sit-Down With Queen Elizabeth

Meghan Markle Prince Harry Trip With Queen Elizabeth

Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, battled their security concerns and took a very brief trip to London this week, where they had a meeting with Queen Elizabeth, and it seems that it was worth it.

Ahead of the Invictus Games for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women in the Hague, Prince Harry and Markle had a lovely and cordial sit-down with Queen Elizabeth, where they spoke about the possibility of returning to the United Kingdom this summer with their young children — Archie and Lilibet Diana.

In June, Queen Elizabeth will be marking her 70th year on the throne, also known as the Platinum Jubilee.

The British people will put together many celebratory events to honor the 95-year-old sovereign.

Days after the private sit-down with The Queen, several royal insiders have confirmed to The Telegraph that she has invited her grandson, Markle, and their children to participate in the celebrations.

According to the Palace sources, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would appear at the thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Markle and Prince Harry would also take center stage next to Queen Elizabeth during the iconic balcony for the Trooping the Colour.

While in Holland, Prince Harry took part in a brief interview where he spoke about reuniting with his grandmother.

The British prince said: “It was great to see her. She had plenty of messages for Team UK. So, it was great to see her, and I’m sure she would love to be here if she could.”

The Telegraph is also reporting because of Queen Elizabeth’s recent health issues related to COVID-19 and struggles with mobility — she will not be able to attend all of the events during the Jubilee festivities.

Royal biographer Angela Levin shared some details as to why the Queen’s presence at jubilee events would be limited.

She said: “It’s going to be very difficult, and I think they will only show her in a few instances, maybe at the service at St Paul’s. That will be very important to her because she is a Christian. I don’t think we’ll see her around and about. Maybe she’ll be well enough to sit and watch horses. It won’t be her everywhere. But if she is there, she will appreciate the fact the public will want to be there and support her.”

Levin added: “I imagine that the aides are worried that if the public doesn’t see her, people may think that if she’s not there, it’s not worth us going. I’m sure everyone in the Palace hopes that people will turn up to show their respects and say thank you for an extraordinary reign both in length and in breadth.”

Royal aides believe that it would mean a great deal for The Queen to have Prince Harry and Markle’s presence at the event because “it will likely mark the last big family balcony appearance of her reign” because it is getting more and more difficult for her to walk.
