Prince Harry‘s upcoming memoir has taken a surprising turn, leaving even his wife, Meghan Markle, shocked and wondering if it is too much.
Prince Harry signed a $20 million deal to write a very personal and truthful book about his entire life. According to a source, who spoke to Heat magazine, the Duke of Sussex has decided to be a man of his words.
The British prince is set to drop the tell-all book around the Christmas holiday.
Despite the media’s high interest in the memoir, Prince Harry has been able to keep the book under wraps — but one person has been given the privilege of reading the tell-all book and was shocked by some of the chapters and revelations.
The insider, who spoke to the media outlet, claimed that Markle discovered a Prince Harry she never knew and is reeling from it.
Prince Harry not only spoke about the royal family, but he also opened up like never before about his early 20s, his wild and controversial partying days, his sensational dating life, and the long list of girlfriends he had before meeting and marrying Markle.
The media outlet is reporting: “And, we’re told it won’t just be Buckingham Palace breaking a cold sweat over his “accurate and wholly truthful” storytelling, as his wife Meghan is said to be reeling from the finer details of his past relationships and former party boy antics.”
A source close to the couple told the magazine that Markle was stupefied by Prince Harry’s honest and raw narrative in the book.
The insider claimed: “This narrative that Meghan essentially stood over Harry as he wrote the book is way off the mark. He and [ghostwriter] JR Moeringer spent months going through his private photo album, journals, emails, and so forth. It naturally brought up some extremely raw feelings and surprise anecdotes, many of which came as a huge shock to Meghan when she read through the manuscript.”
Prince Harry has reportedly decided to speak to the world for the first time about his steamy romantic relationships with Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy.
Prince Harry dated Davy from 2004 to 2010. The duo split because of the media, the spotlight, and the complexity attached to the royal family.
Davy, in her own words about her dating experience with the prince, stated: “It was so full-on, crazy, scary, and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn’t cope. I was young, I was trying to be a normal kid, and it was horrible.”
Prince Harry and Bonas were together between 2012 and 2014. Their split was due to the media and her desire to follow her career plan of being an actress.
The insider explained: “Harry didn’t want to brush over his past romances, so Chelsy and Cressida are going to find it tough. But there are tons of other revelations about his partying and some of the terrible choices he made that are tough to sugar-coat, to say the least.”
