Prince Harry and his spouse, Meghan Markle, have taken a vow — they are done bashing the Royal Family.
After the publication of Spare, the interviews, and the Netflix series, Prince Harry and Markle decided they were done talking and selling the Royal Family’s dirty secrets.
The Sussexes, who have a lucrative contract with Netflix, will only feature behind the Netflix cameras on their upcoming projects. A source close to the power couple said they have run out of things to say about their past.
One insider told The Sun: “That period of their life is over — as there is nothing left to say.”
After promising to steer clear of King Charles III, Prince William, and Queen Camilla, Prince Harry is facing his first major test.
Prince Harry will face a public test after making a vow of silence on the royals
Will the Duke of Sussex keep his word and refrain from humiliating the British royal family? The world and his royal relatives will find out sooner than later.
Prince Harry will return to London next week to testify and present evidence in his trial at the High Court. The author and former soldier is locked in a bitter court battle against Mirror Group Newspapers.
According to Prince Harry’s lawsuit, he believes that the media company illegally hacked his phone and took part in unauthorized surveillance.
The Daily Beast notes that it will be the first time in over one hundred years that a senior member of the Royal Family will testify in court.
The media outlet said: “Next week, Harry’s readiness to either continue or desist from attacking his family may be tested.”
King Charles, who will be in Romania, and the other members of the Royal Family will be powerlessly watching Prince Harry closely to see if he makes humiliating revelations or avoids leaking their secrets. One royal expert predicts the former.
Prince Harry predicted to implode in court and bring the royals down with him
Royal biographer Tom Bower says Prince Harry’s “collapse is yet to come.” The commentator claimed the Duke’s desire to take down the British press will push him to ambush himself, King Charles, Prince William, and the other royals with his major court stunt.
He told GB News it would be bad for King Charles next week and added: “I have a feeling that he has actually deluded himself that he is happy and the collapse is yet to come. It could be really awful for him next week, but the trouble is, if it’s bad for him, it’s bad for the Royal Family too.”
He went on to say: “It doesn’t reflect well on his father or any of the rest; that is the tragedy of all of this. He is really walking into a minefield. He is going to do himself enormous damage, but he is so conceited about his importance as a white charge against the media. It is about time this whole circus comes to an end.”
The last time Prince Harry was in court, he left Prince William red-faced with shame by revealing to the public the heir was paid a large sum as a secret settlement by News Group Newspapers, the Rupert Murdoch-owned publisher of The Sun.
Former editor of The Sun, Kelvin MacKenzie, weighed in on Prince Harry’s tactics on CBS News by saying: “He wants to blow this up. He gets back at his own family. He bashes the tabloids over the head — gives Murdoch a kick in the pants — there is nothing not to like as far as Harry is concerned.”
Prince Harry also made the explosive revelation that Murdoch’s News Group had a secret agreement with the Royal Family that Queen Elizabeth II orchestrated.
