Donald Trump Just Ruined The 2024 Republican National Convention

All the polls indicate that Donald Trump will be the nominee of the Republican Party when the primaries wrap up in the summer of 2024.

The former president is expected to keep his astonishing lead over his opponents, including Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis, for many reasons.

The mogul is sort of running unchallenged; for some mysterious reason, he is rarely criticized by his rivals on the debate stage.

Mr. Trump has the star power — the former reality TV star turned politician turned president is a household name who could afford to skip the debates.

He is hugely popular with his MAGA diehard base, who will follow him to hell and back. Trump has money but does not need to use it because he gets an abundance of airtime thanks to his mountain of legal issues.

When all the votes have been tallied, Trump is expected to sail through and be declared the nominee — and he will move on to his crowning moment: the Republican National Convention.

The convention will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in July 2024. However, this convention will be different; it will be grandiose, controversial, historical, and probably chaotic — all the things Trump is known for.

According to one political expert and strategist, Trump will bring drama to the political event because he might get convicted just before.

In an interview this week, Matthew Dowd, a Republican strategist for George W. Bush’s 2004 presidential campaign, stated that Donald Trump is in trouble.

Talking to MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Dowd said he expects the justice system to catch up to Trump during one of his most glorious moments.

He said: “So he’ll be the nominee, but be a convicted nominee in the midst of this, and then we’ll be headed to a general election with the nominee of a major political party convicted, at least in one court, if not in two different courts, in this time.”

Dowd explained: “A convicted felon running for president under the Republican Party. We have never in my life have ever seen a calendar that will unfold in that manner. But it also is going to be so weird while this is going on, Republican voters voting for him to be the nominee of the party as he’s convicted.”

According to The Washington Post, Mr. Trump is facing a whopping total of 91 charges spread out in four criminal cases — the Jan. 6 insurrection case, the Georgia election interference case, the classified documents case, and the Stormy Daniels hush money case.

Trump’s defense team is dealing with 44 federal charges and 47 state charges, all of them felonies.

In court, under oath, and during interviews, Trump has claimed he is innocent in each case
