Meghan Markle might have lost Queen Elizabeth II‘s support, but she has gained the backing of Queen Bey — Beyoncé.
Earlier today, the superstar from Texas took to social media. She shared a lovely post to show support and love for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Beyoncé penned a note that said: “Thank you, Meghan, for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”
Not everyone approved of Meghan and Prince Harry‘s chat where they called out the British family.
Meghan Markle has been criticized for being “unaware” after saying she is not “attached” to the grandeur that comes with being famous or part of the royal family.
Speaking in a TV interview following the broadcasting of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s exclusive with Oprah Winfrey, ex-Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly said the Duchess of Sussex should “spare” viewers the claims that she is not into the grandeur of royal life.
Kelly reminded viewers of Meghan Markle’s wedding guests from 2018, including TV host Oprah Winfrey herself and A-lister George Clooney.
Kelly said Markle “didn’t even know,” referring to a piece in the New York Post by Maureen Callahan, published this week.
The former Fox News darling claimed: “[Meghan] goes onto say, I don’t believe in any of the grandeur. There’s an article already up on the New York Post here in the States that’s saying this is the person who had Clooney and Oprah at her wedding even though she didn’t even know them, and then covered herself in blood diamonds from a Saudi prince, so like, spare us that you’re not into any of the grandeur.”
In the article, Callahan speaks about the royal wedding guests and makes reference to “blood diamonds” — the earrings reportedly given as a wedding gift for Meghan Markle by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia.
It has since been reported that the prince approved the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in October 2018.
Meghan Markle is believed to have told journalists the earrings had been borrowed. Lawyers for the Sussexes have continued to deny that anyone was misled over the jewelry.
During the CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey Sunday night, Meghan Markle said that she would have wanted her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, to have a royal title if it meant he would be safe, but that it was not an “attachment” she had “personally.”
Speaking to the hosts of Good Morning Britain, Megyn Kelly accused Meghan Markle of not being self-aware and of being completely “unaware” of how she sounded during the interview.
Kelly mocked Meghan Markle and suggested that she thought meeting the Queen would be like meeting “a celebrity in Los Angeles.”
