The two rappers turned the heat up on Sunday during the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, which was watched by millions around the world.
Cardi B, 28, has opened up in the past about her previous experience as a stripper, and she showed off her skills on a pole Sunday while performing “Up” before being joined by fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, 26.
They performed their single, “WAP,” on stage together for the first time since its release last August.
It has become one of the biggest hits of the last year, with celebrities including Dakota Fanning and Nicole Scherzinger sharing videos of themselves singing or dancing along.
Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B delighted fans as they twerked, grinded, and danced on a huge bed for the adult performance.
Many applauded Cardi B’s performance, while some say she was very careful with the racy dance moves because she is pregnant with baby number 2.
A backer, who thinks that Kulture is going to be a big sister, said on social media: “She looks pregnant ???? but imma just wait until y’a release that story in 5 mos.”
This person shared: “Her shape looks like she could be pregnant.” Another music lover wrote: “I don’t think you were trying to be disrespectful because that’s the first thing that came to me; she must be pregnant because she was being careful.”
One woman claimed: “I said the same thing! She looks about 6-8 weeks.”
Despite its huge success, Cardi B and Atlantic Records decided to hold off on submitting it for a Grammy award this year, instead choosing to submit it for the 64th Grammy Awards next year as part of Cardi B’s upcoming album — expected in the next few months.
In a past interview, Cardi B made it clear that along with her music, having another baby was her top priority.
Kulture’s mom said: “I want to rehearse, rehearse, rehearse for my tour, get ready for my fucking tour. After my tour, I want to have a kid. I want to have another kid.”
Monday on E!, a documentary about Cardi B aired, but the rapper has already publicly stated that she “did not approve” it, despite being “grateful for all the love.”
She told fans that she would “love” to share her story when she is ready, which includes a “lot of bad sh*t” she experienced as a teen.
And the Grammys were not Cardi B’s only recent success — she has also become the first female rapper to have a single certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America, after at least 10 million downloads.
Speaking to fans in a social media video, Cardi B said the news had “uplifted” her.
