Kate Middleton Is Praised For Her First Decision After Queen Elizabeth Died

Kate Middleton Queen Elizabeth Decision

At 96, Queen Elizabeth II died in one of her favorite places — Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Her Majesty passed away with several family members by her side.

Prince Charles, now King Charles, issued a somber statement paying tribute to his mother and her legacy.

Via Buckingham Palace, King Charles said: “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of great sadness for me and all members of my family,” We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt through the country, the Realms, and the Commonwealth and by countless people around the world. During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which The Queen was so widely held.”

Before the Queen’s death announcement, Andrew, Prince Edward, and Prince William were seen rushing to Balmoral but did not make it on time to say their final goodbyes.

Prince Harry also arrived too late at his grandmother’s deathbed. There was some confusion that Kate Middleton had accompanied Prince William to Scotland, but an official statement has been released explaining her decision to stay in Windsor.

However, it has since been confirmed via an official statement that Kate Middleton decided to remain in Adelaide Cottage, located on the grounds of the Queen’s Windsor estate.

While Middleton is the Future Queen of England, she is first and foremost the mother of three young children — Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.

The siblings started attending Lambrook School on Thursday. Middleton wanted the children to have a normal first day in school and did not want to scare them with sad and seismic news that their great-grandmother was no more.

In a statement, Kensington Palace said: “The Duchess of Cambridge has remained in Windsor as Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are on their first full day at their new school.”

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield spoke to Fox News and weighed in on Middleton’s decision to stay in Windsor by saying: “It was the first day at a new school for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s tiny crew, and I don’t think that they wanted to interrupt the school day or scare the kids on their first day.”

Kate Middleton was spotted doing the school run alone on Thursday and therefore providing stability for the children during this difficult time.

Many backed Middelton’s decision calling her wise and selfless.
