Madonna has been released from the hospital and is now back home in New York with her children by her side.
Madonna is mom to six children — Lourdes, 26, Rocco, 22, David, 17, Mercy, 17, and twins Estere and Stella, 10.
The pop icon, 64, was recently hospitalized and spent several days in the ICU after falling terribly ill because of an infection.
However, on Thursday, it was confirmed that the pop queen is recuperating in her New York apartment.
A source close to the singer told CNN: “She’s in the clear.” Another person revealed to PEOPLE Magazine: “She’s back home and feeling better.”
Comedian and former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell, who is a close friend of Madonna, took to social media to give a positive health update.
She shared a photo of herself with Madonna on Instagram with the following caption: “She’s feeling good.”
Page Six broke the news that Madonna was found unresponsive on Saturday and rushed to a New York City hospital.
According to the media outlet, the legendary artist was intubated for one night. In an Instagram post, Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy, revealed that she “developed a serious bacterial infection, which led to a several-day stay in the ICU.”
He also explained to fans that Madonna’s upcoming Celebration tour has been postponed.
The massive 84-date tour was scheduled to launch on July 15 in Vancouver.
Sources close to the singer spoke to TMZ to reveal that she was “battling a low-grade fever for a month before her shock hospitalization.”
Madonna had a grueling rehearsal schedule and therefore ignored the fever and declined to see a doctor.
The source told TMZ: “She mostly ignored her symptoms and never got checked out by a doctor because she was laser-focused on her upcoming tour.”
According to the media outlet, Madonna’s family is now concerned that she will not follow doctors’ orders to slow down and heal her body.
Her family is afraid that she will rush back to her hectic rehearsals and march on with the tour as planned.
TMZ revealed: “Her doctors believe the unreported fever was a sign of the infection, which worsened because it was left untreated. The singer’s medical team, as well as those around her, are concerned that she will go against doctors’ orders and push to start her tour ASAP.”
Multiple sources spoke to the Daily Mail and stated that Madonna, who has had a 40-year career, is a perfectionist and a workaholic.
Those working with the “Like a Prayer” singer explained that she is demanding of herself and her team of dancers and choreographers.
One person employed by the star revealed that she has been driving everyone crazy with her demands.
The source stated: “It may be her last tour, so she wants to make it perfect. She is in incredible shape, and her body is sick. This is her labor of love. Her perfectionism is driving everyone up the wall, but she does not care. The crew is working their a** off because everyone wants to make her happy. She has no issues whatsoever with firing someone at the drop of a hat.”
The music legend has always been a rebelious soul.
