It is a new era in the British monarchy and King Charles III is doing his best for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to get the memo.
After almost four years of back and forth between London and Montecito, King Charles is sending strong signals that he is moving on.
His Majesty is now focused on “unity, unity, unity” and is doing his best to get Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to play along.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be in Germany next week for the launch of the 2023 Düsseldorf Invictus Games.
To put the spotlight on the games, Prince Harry has teamed up with Netflix for a multipart series called Heart of Invictus.
While the main focus of the documentary series is to showcase the resilience and bravery of wounded soldiers taking part in the games, Prince Harry also spoke about his days in the army and his past traumas.
Prince Harry opened up about not having the proper structure that he needed when he was a child to help him deal with and cope with the loss of his mother.
The Duke of Sussex said: “But the stuff that was coming up was from 1997, from the age of 12, losing my mom at such a young age. The trauma that I had, I was never really aware of; it was never discussed; I didn’t really talk about it; and I suppressed it like most youngsters would have done, but when it all came fizzing out, I was bouncing off the walls, and I was like, ‘what is going on here? I am now feeling everything as opposed to being numb.”
While many deemed that Prince Harry went too far with his confessions, King Charles is not worried about them. A close friend of the King told The Daily Beast that he is proud of what Prince Harry has accomplished with the Invictus Games.
The associate said that King Charles has yet to see the series, but he is proud of his son and added: “Charles was always incredibly proud of Harry for setting up Invictus, and he remains so. I actually think he will love the new show if he gets a chance to watch any of it. The idea that Harry has used the series to attack Charles is a total exaggeration; he hasn’t.”
According to the friend, King Charles is not upset at the passage where he spoke about the Royal Family not giving him the structure he needed during the most difficult time of his life.
The pal claimed: “It’s a fleeting remark in five hours of TV which has been blown out of all proportion by the media. I think after what Charles has been through in the last fifty years, he’ll be able to handle it.”
The same friend revealed what King Charles thinks about Prince Harry’s decision to attend the WellChild charity event and deliver a speech.
According to the royal insider, King Charles understands Prince Harry needs to be at the event, as he has done for the past 15 years.
The person claimed King Charles expects Prince Harry to talk about his grandmother and added: “Harry has always done WellChild and he only missed it last year because the queen died on that day, so it would be a bit odd if he didn’t pay tribute to her or mention what happened last year. It’s an accident of timing, admittedly one which has worked out very nicely for Harry given he has a new show to promote. The issue really is what he says. I’m sure he will just say a few nice words about her, and it will be fine.”
King Charles warns Prince Harry with these words “unity, unity, unit.”
The source shared: “But if he makes even the slightest veiled criticism of his father or brother or the institution, it will really annoy Charles and William. Charles is pushing for unity, unity, unity—so the last thing he needs is Harry being divisive.”
Unity is not the same word as peace.
