Not that long ago, King Charles III was being described as the father and family that Meghan Markle never had.
Prince Harry said these words about the deep and loving relationship that His Majesty and his wife once had.
He also explained that Markle had long conversations with The King, who delivered sound and wise advice about life, families, and their shared passion for the arts.
This week, Meghan Markle would love to have The King’s ears as she deals with an unimaginable disaster.
While Prince Harry is busy in New York doing charity work, Markle is left behind in California to deal with a deluge of leaks from former staff members.
These leaks have tarnished her reputation and left her dealing with a seemingly insurmountable crisis. Former staff members, who worked for Prince Harry and Markle in the UK and the United States, have made shocking personal accusations against her.
They have called her a demon, a psycho, and a dictator in high heels, a woman who throws tantrums and sends out crazed emails at 5 a.m.
The Hollywood Reporter spoke to several people who quit their high posts at Prince Harry and Markle’s Archwell company.
When asked why did they jump ship, one person stated: “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people; she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers; they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”
The media outlet reported: “Stateside staff members also reserve special bile for Markle, whose reported penchant for noisy tantrums and angry 5am emails has earned her the in-house moniker ‘Duchess Difficult.'”
Another former staff member claimed that Markle has become famous for making grown men cry. The ex-employee revealed: “She’s absolutely relentless. She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders. I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”
The 2018 British scandal involving Markle allegedly bullying royal aides is a controversy that has resurfaced in light of recent events. The allegations led Buckingham Palace to investigate the “bullying behavior.”
A former courtier who worked for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry told The Daily Beast this week that they saw the worst version of the former actress and added: “There have been plenty of difficult royals over the years, and I do think that after the ill-feeling of “Megxit,” Meghan’s bad moments were amplified and distorted and blown out of proportion. Princess Margaret regularly got people to hold out their hands to use as ashtrays, for example, and that’s just laughed off as hilarious eccentricity. Look at Andrew; he was unbelievable to the staff. That said, there definitely were bad, very bad, even psycho moments. I witnessed people being chewed up in person and over the phone and made to feel like s–t. But it was an incredibly fraught time, and I’m inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. She has said herself she was suicidal at times.”
During this ordeal, Markle finds herself in desperate need of King Charles’s wisdom. The Daily Mail‘s royal correspondent Richard Eden explained that Markle now regrets not having King Charles’ and The Palace’s century-old wise rule of never complaining and “not wanting to get into just a sort of daily dingdong” when scandals and leaks occur.
