Kourtney Kardashian has said she thinks her relationship with Scott Disick would “probably” have turned out differently if it was not so prominent on the family’s reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
In a trailer for a reunion special of KUWTK, which wrapped up this week, 42-year-old Kourtney Kardashian is asked by host Andy Cohen if things might have turned out differently with Scott Disick, 38, had so much of their relationship not played out on the screen.
Kourtney and Scott started dating in 2006, a year before the first episode of the show aired, and while they went on to have three children, their romance was on and off over the years, in part due to Scott’s alcoholism and drug use.
They split for a final time in 2015, with their breakup being shown to the world on Seasons 10 and 11 of the reality show.
When asked the question by Andy Cohen, Kourtney said it “probably” would have been different had things not been so public.
Her sister, Kim Kardashian, 40, appeared surprised, while Kourtney added that the “deal breaker” was Scott’s substance abuse.
Kourtney said: “I think the substance abuse was the deal breaker.”
Scott rapidly confessed that he caused the mother of his children a lot of drama and headaches. He stated: “I was pretty irresponsible.”
Scott, who has been in rehab several times, admitted he had been “pretty irresponsible” during his relationship with Kourtney, who supported him through many relapses.
The former couple share Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 6. Scott is now dating Amelia Gray Hamlin, 19, while Kourtney has been dating Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 45, since earlier this year.
Fans were teased about Scott’s opinion on his ex-girlfriend’s new relationship as Andy Cohen asked if they had his “blessing,” but the trailer did not show his answer.
Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner also appear on the reunion show, and Khloé was asked how she knew her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, would not cheat again after the first cheating scandal.
Kris Jenner revealed that she fully approves of Kourtney Kardashian‘s romance with Travis Barker even if she does not understand all that is going on between them.
Kris shared: “Isn’t it great? It’s the best.” The 65-year-old momager was asked about Kourtney’s wild decision to post a picture of a vial of her boyfriend’s blood.
A confused Kris said: “Here’s the thing. I don’t know what that means. I’ve got to have a little chat with Ms. Kourtney and find out what’s going on.”
For fans, this is the end of an era.
