Melania Trump’s ‘I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?’ Jacket Overshadows Her Visit To Detained Migrant Children

Melania Trump I Don't Care, Do U Jacket

“I really don’t care, do u?” Melania Trump, believe it or not, wore a $39 Zara military jacket with that message splashed on it while visiting undocumented children in McAllen, Texas earlier today.

The first lady made the surprise trip to the border to show empathy and compassion after her husband, President Donald Trump got slammed by politicians from both sides for his zero-tolerance policy that separates children and even babies from their parents.

The first lady took the trip less than 24 hours after the Republican president was forced to sign an executive order which claims to end separations of migrant families. This fashion faux pas is overshadowing the visit.

However, Melania Trump’s communications director Stephanie Grisham was quick to release a statement about the controversial message on the jacket.

She stated: “It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope this isn’t what the media is going to choose to focus on. She wants to see what’s real.”

Grisham added: “She wanted to see as close to what she had been seeing on TV. She wants to see a realistic view of what’s happening.”

Grisham went on to say that the former model does care and she was moved by the photos of crying children being torn from their parents to take action.

Grisham concluded her lengthy explanation by: “She’s seen the images. She’s heard the recordings. She was on top of the situation before any of that came out. She was concerned about it. The images struck her, as a mother, as a human being.”

Mrs. Trump sat down with officials and teachers at the Upbring New Hope Children’s Shelter where 55 children — all minors are being held.

Barron Trump‘s mother said: “Thank you so much for having me today. I’m glad I’m here and looking forward to meeting the children. I’d also like to ask you how I can help reunite these children with their families as quickly as possible.”

Some commentators are wondering if no one in the White House saw the coat as problematic and tone deaf.
