Man Cuts His Own Throat During Tinder Date Murder Trial, Yells His Alleged Accomplice Is Innocent

A murder case from two years ago has taken an even more dramatic turn in Nebraska this week, as the primary suspect, Aubrey Trail, has reportedly slashed his own throat in the courtroom during his trial.

He has reportedly collapsed and was immediately rushed to a hospital, but his condition remains unknown.

Moreover, initial reports indicate that the man was severely wounded and was in a critical condition, which has left many worried about his prospects.

The man was being tried for the murder and dismemberment of a woman in 2017 named Sydney Loofe, 24, who was last seen going out on a Tinder date.

A second person, a woman named Bailey Boswell, was charged as an accomplice in the murder and will also be tried in the same case later this year. Boswell is the one who went on a November 15, 2017, date with Loofe.

Reports indicate that the last thing the main suspect yelled as he fell to the floor was “Bailey was innocent, and I curse you all,” referring to his alleged accomplice.

The suspect continues to deny having killed the woman on purpose, claiming that he and the two women had consensual sex during which they accidentally suffocated Loofe.

Prosecutors say the pair planned the murder as the defense argues that it was just a sexcapade gone wrong.

This has not explained the fact that she was found cut up and stuffed in garbage bags, however, and it is not clear if the man had offered an explanation for that part of the story yet.

Much of the story as a whole remains a big mystery, and with the possible death of the main suspect, observers may never know what exactly went down on that tragic day.

Many have been hoping that the man makes a full recovery, partly because they would like to see him get justice. The trial is still going on in the absence of Trail, who is facing the death penalty.

Trail and Boswell were also sentenced in a gold coin scheme. She was sentenced to five years in federal prison along with an order to repay $200,000, and he got 10 years.
