It appears that the divorce of Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich is about to go smoother than previously thought.
Hough and Laich have opted for a more civilized manner to end their marriage for it was recently reported that the former couple would rely on a strict prenup.
The Dancing with the Stars alum and the 37-year-old retired hockey star decided not to seek any financial gain from each other after their split.
The divorce proceedings were allegedly initiated by the 32-year-old professional dancer and movie star at the beginning of November. In the filing, she requested that no financial support was necessary from her soon-to-be ex-husband.
In turn, Laich answered by stating that he also did not want any spousal support from Hough and entirely agreed with her request.
The first rumors that the two celebrities’ relationship might be fading away started circulating when it was reported that Hough and Brooks decided not to self-isolate together during the period of imposed quarantine due to the ongoing pandemic.
Meanwhile, Hough and Laich confirmed the news of their falling out of love via an official statement, “We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate. We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place,” and also requested from their fans to respect their privacy.
However, a source close to the couple claimed that Hough was the one who wanted to end the marriage, whereas Brooks initially did not want to but finally gave up “because of how Julianne was behaving.”
Hough is redefining the meaning of love amid her divorce from Laich. Hough took to Instagram, where she bared her soul using a quote from writer Bianca Sparacino that focused on love.
The post read: “The truth is — love exists in so much more than just a romantic partner. Love is everything around you. And I hope you learn how to open your eyes to that. I hope you find love in every aspect of your life. I hope you find it tucked into early morning sunrises and the smell of your favorite places. I hope you find it strung between the laughter you share with friends.”
It went on to say: “I hope you fall in love with growth, and change, and the messiness and beauty of f—king up, and making mistakes, and becoming exactly who you want to be. I hope you find love in places that were once void of it, in places within yourself that you could have been softer to, kinder to, in the past. Because if there is one thing I have learned, it is that love is so much more than a boy, or a girl, who holds your heart. Love is everything around you. It is everything.”
Hough also opened up recently about her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Seacrest.
