Woman Brags About Not Social Distancing, Gets Coronavirus — She Now Regrets Her Video

Ireland Tate Coronavirus Social Distancing

Ireland Tate recently made headlines with a video posted on Instagram where she shocked many by saying that she does not care about the social distancing rules imposed since the coronavirus pandemic hit the world.

The social media influencer has released a second video where she is now advising young people to take the illness seriously because she has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Before the diagnosis, Tate, of Nashville, Tennessee, mocked the idea of self-isolation. The 21-year-old woman said she was not afraid, and she felt unbothered because she was healthy and, therefore, could not get infected by the virus.

Despite all the warnings from health experts and politicians, including the current governor of Tennessee William Byron Lee.

Tate said in her selfish video at the time: “So, I’m aware that we’re supposed to be self-quarantining and social distancing all these things to keep everyone safe. Cool. I get it. I just don’t think that I’m going to get the virus.”

The young woman kept going out with friends and had a party even after the mayor of Nashville John Cooper issued a 14-day “safer at home” order hoping to slow the spread of coronavirus in the region.

Tate ignored the order, and along with 20 friends had a huge party at one of their houses and later went out publicly to continue with the festivities.

Cooper said at the time: “This formalizes what many residents and businesses are already doing on their own. It is a difficult decision, especially because of the impact it will have on our businesses, but it is necessary to protect the health and safety of our family, friends, and neighbors. The faster we contain COVID-19, the faster we can return to business. We’re in this together. Thank you for your cooperation.”

After being infected with the coronavirus, Tate drastically changed her tune and begged people to follow the instructions put out by the experts to keep everyone safe and well.

Tate claimed: “So I tested positive for COVID19. I’m in isolated quarantine for 14 days starting today. I’m not doing great, but now I have time to watch every single [Bussin’ With The Boys] episode on YouTube (trying to see the bright side here).”

She went on to say: “It feels like there’s someone sitting on my chest at all times; it’s really hard to breathe. I’ve coughed until my throat has bled. While it may not be affecting you, you could be affecting someone’s grandma or grandpa or aunt or uncle or sister.”

Online commenters are hoping that she will get better and be more humble.
