A 20-year-old woman named Brittany Stricker from Lincoln, Nebraska has been arrested on charges of first-degree sexual assault of a minor after it was revealed that she allegedly had sexual contact with a 14-year-old boy more than a hundred times.
The alleged abuse occurred between January 1 and June 20 and the suspect was pregnant, she gave birth on July 2.
The woman admitted to her alleged crimes in police interviews, acknowledging that she was aware of the boy’s age. She also added that they were both under the influence on a few occasions.
The woman could now face half a century in prison if she is found guilty. She recently gave birth to a young boy, although she explained that his father was in the Marines and was not present for the delivery.
It is not known if the young baby has anything to do with the woman’s relationship with the 14-year-old. It is also not clear if she was cheating on her Marine boyfriend and if they were still together during the ordeal with the younger boy.
Authorities were first alerted to the incident by external reports, although both initially denied any wrongdoing when they were questioned by authorities.
Police documents read: “Beginning in March there were two reports…with concerns about the victim being involved in a sexual relationship with (the defendant).”
It continued with: “The victim states that (the defendant) was aware of his age and multiple other parties confronted (the defendant) about the victim’s age and the inappropriateness of their sexual relationship. The victim states that friends have witnessed he and (the defendant) engaged in sexual intercourse. At times the victim acted older than 14…which helped her justify her actions.”
The boy was the one who then contacted police on his own, admitting that he had had sexual intercourse with the woman more than a hundred times for half a year.
He added that some of his friends had even seen the two having sex, including a 17-year-old witness who confirmed his story to the police.
It is not known if authorities plan to bring up additional charges or if other people were involved in the case.
Stricker is currently held at the Lancaster County Jail on a $75,000 bond, and her next court date is set for August 22.
People in Lincoln were shocked by what occurred and commenters on social media were harsh when it comes to Stricker. They think she should spend a lot of time in prison and they hope that her baby will be raised by someone with better judgment.
